  • Patent number: 9777560
Abstract: A well fluid submersible pump assembly includes a pump operatively coupled to a motor and a seal section located between the motor and the pump. The seal section has a single piece tubular housing with adapters secured to opposite ends of the housing. A shaft extends axially through the housing for driving the pump. An auxiliary seal carrier located in the housing has a central bore through which the shaft extends and has an outer diameter portion that seals to the bore of the housing. Opposed check valves in the seal carrier allow lubricant to flow from one side of the auxiliary carrier to an opposite side of the seal carrier in response to a selected pressure differential. A mechanical face seal mounts to the auxiliary seal carrier and seals around the shaft.

  • Patent number: 9685195
Abstract: Playback of multimedia data associated with a recorded conference session is simplified, particularly for a person who participated in the conference session from a mobile device. At a recording server that is in communication with a plurality of endpoints in a conference session, multimedia received from the plurality of endpoints participating in the conference session is recorded. The recording server obtains geographical location information for at least one mobile endpoint participating in the conference session as the at least one mobile endpoint moves. The recording server temporally correlates the geographical location information for the at least one endpoint with recorded multimedia data for the conference session. The recording server stores data tags for the geographical location information for the at least one mobile endpoint in association with the recorded multimedia data for subsequent use in indexing to map data to retrieve a portion of the recorded multimedia data for playback.

  • Patent number: 9055191
Abstract: A method and computing system for providing, using one or more computing devices, a synchronous communication session for a plurality of users. A first video stream associated with the synchronous communication session is provided to a first imaging device associated with the synchronous communication session. A level of interest of the plurality of users in the first video stream provided to the first imaging device is determined. In response to a low level of interest of the plurality of users, a second video stream associated with the synchronous communication session is provided to the first imaging device associated with the synchronous communication session.

  • Patent number: 8438235
Abstract: Disclosed are apparatus and techniques for escalating an instant messaging (IM) session between two or more users to an audio session so that a communication device (by one or more users) that will optimize the audio session is selectively and intelligently utilized. In one embodiment, if an IP (Internet Protocol) phone is connected to the computer on which an IM session is being escalated, the IP telephone may be used instead of the computer device's own soft telephone so as to maximize audio clarity and quality. In another embodiment, a user's cell phone may be utilized for a mobile user who is using a laptop that is not coupled to an IP telephone or who is communicating from a hotel room in which a telephone call is typically more expensive than a cell phone call. Numerous embodiments for optimizing such audio sessions are described herein.

  • Patent number: 8419390
Abstract: An electrical submersible pumping assembly having a seal section and a motor section, and seals that prevent leakage from the seal section and the motor section during assembly. The seals cooperate with a coupling assembly for coupling together shafts from both the seal section and motor section. The coupling assembly outer diameter enlarges at a shoulder that circumscribes its outer surface. In one example, the seal that prevents leakage from the seal assembly provides a sealing interface around the larger diameter portion of the coupling assembly, that is removable by sliding the coupling so its smaller diameter portion is adjacent the seal assembly. The motor section is sealed by another sealing assembly that includes a body that circumscribes the motor shaft to define an annulus, a sealing disk selectively fills the annulus. The sealing disk can also be slid away from within the body while coupling the shafts with the coupling assembly.

  • Patent number: 8076524
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preparing olefin comonomers from ethylene. The comonomer generated can be used in a subsequent process, such as a polyethylene polymerization reactor. The comonomer generated can be transported, optionally without isolation or storage, to a polyethylene polymerization reactor. One method includes the steps of: feeding ethylene and a catalyst in a solvent/diluent to one or more comonomer synthesis reactors; reacting the ethylene and the catalyst under reaction conditions sufficient to produce an effluent comprising a desired comonomer; forming a gas stream comprising unreacted ethylene, and a liquid/bottoms stream comprising the comonomer, optionally by passing the effluent to one or more downstream gas/liquid phase separators; and purifying at least a portion of said liquid/bottoms stream by removing at least one of solid polymer, catalyst, and undesirable olefins therefrom.
