  • Publication number: 20240368551
Abstract: The specification provides an improved media formulation to enhance the viability of chondrocytes in stored biological samples. The formulation includes Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM), doxycycline, and hyaluronic acid, in concentrations sufficient to maintain the chondrocytes' viability significantly longer than DMEM alone. This formulation allows biological samples containing chondrocytes to retain high viability rates for extended periods to be suitable for transplant purposes, such as in osteochondral tissue transplantation.

  • Patent number: 12078107
Abstract: A gas turbine engine is provided. The gas turbine engine includes: a turbomachine having a compressor section, a combustion section, and a turbine section arranged in serial flow order, the compressor section having a high pressure compressor defining a high pressure compressor exit area (AHPCExit) in square inches; wherein the gas turbine engine defines a redline exhaust gas temperature (EGT) in degrees Celsius, a total sea level static thrust output (FnTotal) in pounds, and a corrected specific thrust, wherein the corrected specific thrust is greater than or equal to 42 and less than or equal to 90, the corrected specific determined as follows: FnTotal×EGT/(AHPCExit2×1000).

  • Publication number: 20070152877
Abstract: A method of improving a vehicle emergency call network used during an enhanced 911 call, which is especially useful in environments having degraded GPS signals. The present method utilizes an independent position enhancement algorithm, such as a dead reckoning algorithm, and converts the output of that algorithm into a compatible format compatible with a position determining entity (PDE). Some independent position enhancement algorithms return output in the form of position information (typically, two- or three-dimensional coordinates), however, most PDEs only accept information in the form of pseudo-ranges. Thus, the present method provides a technique in which the advantages of an independent position enhancement algorithm are enjoyed, yet a compatible output is sent to the PDE.
