  • Publication number: 20250044140
Abstract: Liquid level detection systems and methods include a sensor having one or more radar transmitters, a plurality of radar receivers, and an antenna associated with each of the radar receivers at a respectively unique location relative to a liquid storage tank. A processor is configured to determine, based on radar returns from combinations of the one or more radar transmitters and the plurality of receivers, a single liquid level output for the storage tank in order to reduce an influence of possibly inaccurate radar returns due to localized effects from tank imperfections and/or solid/liquid buildup in the storage tank.
    Type: Application
    Filed: April 23, 2024
    Publication date: February 6, 2025
Inventors: Michael A. Jensen, Thomas William Karlinsey, Daniel Arnaudov Sharp
  • Publication number: 20250044141
Abstract: A monitoring system for a mobile liquid storage tank includes a plurality of independently operable sensor elements each configured to measure a liquid level inside the mobile liquid storage tank and a processor which iteratively receives a liquid level measurement from the sensor elements, determines a single liquid level output measurement that is robust to measurement variation by one or more of the plurality of independently operable sensor elements, and determines at least one liquid level usage analytic. A display is also provided which visually presents the at least one liquid level usage analytic.

  • Publication number: 20250044138
Abstract: Liquid level sensor systems and methods include a plurality of radar transmitter/receiver combinations each configured to provide a radar return from a respectively different location relative to the liquid storage tank. One or more processors are configured to determine, based on the respective radar returns from the plurality of radar transmitter/receiver combinations, a single liquid level output for the liquid storage tank in order to reduce an influence of possibly inaccurate radar returns due to localized effects from tank imperfections and/or solid/liquid buildup in the liquid storage tank.

  • Publication number: 20250044139
Abstract: Liquid level sensor systems and methods include a sensor having a plurality of radar transmitters, one or more radar receivers, and antennas associated with each of the plurality of radar transmitters at respectively unique locations relative to the liquid storage tank. A processor is configured to determine, in view of the respective radar returns from combinations of the plurality of radar transmitters and one or more radar receivers, a single liquid level output for the liquid storage tank in order to reduce an influence of possibly inaccurate radar returns due to localized effects from tank imperfections and/or solid/liquid buildup.
