  • Publication number: 20210309952
Abstract: Provided are cell plate inserts that include an interior lip and legs on a bottom side. The cell plate inserts can have a diameter that provides a snug fit within a cell plate or well. The cell plate inserts can include a cell support membrane disposed on an interior lip of the cell plate insert. The cell plate inserts can be included in systems for cell co-culture, where cells cultured in a top chamber formed by the cell plate insert do not infiltrate cells cultured in a bottom chamber formed by the cell plate insert.

  • Patent number: 10981602
Abstract: A press-hardened shaped metal sheet has at least two adjacent zones having different sheet thicknesses and different strengths such that one of the zones is press-hardened and the other zone is non-hardened or only slightly hardened. A transition zone, which is simultaneously designed as a thickness transition zone and as a strength transition zone, is located between the zones. The press-hardened shaped metal sheet is preferably a pillar reinforcement for a motor vehicle body.

  • Patent number: 9117178
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to a system for assisting creation of messages, by automatically recommending data to be included therein. The system includes an application configured to accept a set of user inputs of a first classification to determine and provide a group of suggested data relevant to the set of user inputs of the first classification. The group of data is chosen from an evolving collection of data of a second classification. The user is able to select any or all from the group of suggested data to adopt as the user's own and/or to provide additional or different data, which are of the second classification. The user inputs and the user's selection(s) are values collected for use in subsequent determinations.

  • Patent number: 9117180
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to a matching method that implements a machine learning algorithm to serve one or more matches to an individual and to ensure that an outcome of each match is more likely than not to be successful. A recommendation engine uses the machine learning algorithm to perform predictive analysis to thereby select one or more members of an online community to match or pair with the individual, based on at least structured data, unstructured data or both of the individual and/or each selected member. The recommendation engine is configured to continuously learn from past user behavior, including the individual's, to further improve future matches provided to the individual.

  • Publication number: 20130056998
Abstract: A staggered multiple loop fastening strap/leash is securable between a door and its associated frame to provide partial access/restraint through a doorway. On one end of the strap/leash is a swivel snap that secures to an eye bolt that is screwed into a door structure. The other end has staggered loops spaced evenly apart. Each loop can go over a door knob/handle. A quick-release snap is on the strap located closer to the end with the swivel snap. When the quick-release snap is unconnected, the strap/leash becomes 2 straps. The doorway access is restricted when the 1) swivel snap is connected to the eye bolt; 2) the quick-release snap is connected; and 3) a loop is placed over a door knob/handle. The width of the doorway opening can be increased or decreased by the selection of one of the staggered loops spaced evenly apart.

  • Patent number: 4233236
Abstract: A process for the separation of sulphonated paraffins from their sulphonation medium, which comprises neutralization of the sulphuric acid present and separation into two phases, the lower phase containing the sulphate. The neutralization is carried out in such a way that only a part of the sulphuric acid is neutralized. A hydrocarbon is added, which dissolves the sulphonated and non-sulphonated paraffins and forms with water, an azeotropic mixture which is distilled in order to remove all or a part of the water present. The process allows the separation of sulphonates which are purer than in the past and which are poor in sulphates, while the sulphate layer contains only very little sulphonic acid.
