Abstract: A power converter employing a plurality of parallel high-frequency switching legs, and a low-frequency switching leg, is disclosed. A load may be coupled between the high-frequency switching legs and the low-frequency switching leg. A number of levels of a power waveform produced by the power converter may be higher than the number of levels of the high-frequency switching legs. The low-frequency switching leg may employ switches which may have low switching frequency characteristics, low conduction losses, and may be less expensive.

Abstract: A network adapter includes a network interface, a bus interface, a hardware-implemented data-path and a programmable Data-Plane Accelerator (DPA). The network interface is to communicate with a network. The bus interface is to communicate with an external device over a peripheral bus. The hardware-implemented data-path includes a plurality of packet-processing engines to process data units exchanged between the network and the external device. The DPA is to expose on the peripheral bus a User-Defined Peripheral-bus Device (UDPD), to run user-programmable logic that implements the UDPD, and to process transactions issued from the external device to the UDPD by reusing one or more of the packet-processing engines of the data-path.

Abstract: A system and method for combining multiple media types for demanding mobile communications environments, such as airborne and ship borne communications. The system facilitates integration of multiple media types into a common system, enabling use of the optimal communication system for each media type when possible, and transfer of media between communication systems as necessary. The system facilitates convergence of various media types to a common communications system, for example transferring voice and data over a common IP communications system, integrated control and management of the communications systems including interconnection configuration, priority, and accessibility with integrated management of shared resources. The system is designed to meet all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulatory requirements.
