    Abstract: The present invention discloses opaque and white monofilaments that retain tensile strength even after exposure to high levels of UV light. Monofilaments of the present invention do not become brittle even after exposure to the equivalent of three to six months of Florida sun. Monofilaments of the present invention can be useful in brushes, filtration media, monofilament fabrics, synthetic hair for wigs, doll hair, and other applications where monofilaments can be used that are stored or sold in an environment where there is a substantial degree of exposure to the sun.
