  • Patent number: 11194668
Abstract: A method for backup across redundant removable media includes the steps of selecting a current portion of a database to add to a backup collection. The backup collection includes N units of the removable media. N is an integer greater than two. Generating a backup file of a current file in the database using a K-of-N coding process. K is an integer less than N. The backup file has N parts. The current file may be recovered from any K parts among the N parts. Determining if less than N?K+1 backups of the current file exist in the backup collection. Writing a subset of the current file to a current unit of the N units in response to the backup collection having less than the N?K+1 backups. Writing a current part among the N parts of the backup file to the current unit.

  • Patent number: 7211662
Abstract: The invention relates to soluble highly branched glucose polymers having a reducing sugar content of less than 1%, characterized in that they have a level of ?-1,6 glucoside bonds greater than 10%, preferably of between 12 and 30%, a Mw value of between 0.35×105 and 2×105 daltons, and an osmolality having a value of between 1 and 15 mOsm/kg. The invention also relates to their method of production and their applications in the Paper-Carton, Textiles, Cosmetics, and particularly Pharmaceutical and Food industries, and still more particularly in the fields of enteral and parenteral nutrition, peritoneal dialysis as a glycemia inhibiting and/or regulating agent, as an energy source during physical activities and as a digestion regulating agent.

  • Patent number: 7133734
Abstract: A method for sculpting art including preparing an artistic line drawing of interconnected lines having varying widths. The artistic line drawing is converted to a format suitable for computer numeric controls for guiding cutting means. The sculpture is cut out of a piece of material using cutting means suitable for defining holes around the artistic line drawing. The sculpture and mounting means are finished. The mounting means provides a mechanism for spacing the sculpture from and attaching the sculpture to a structure. The mounting means are substantially invisible to a viewer when positioned on the structure. The sculpture having a combination of varying weight lines which appear to be drawn by a felt tipped pen.
