Abstract: A log splitting apparatus having stripper plates for stripping logs from a blade member as a piston is retracted into a cylinder. In one arrangement, the stripper plates are removably securable to opposing sides of a log splitter frame of the apparatus to allow for replacement of the stripper plates with other stripper plates or other components (e.g., stroke reducing devices), use of multi-way (e.g., 4-way) wedge systems, and/or the like.

Abstract: An integrated string and trimmer blade system that allows a user to simultaneously employ one or more flexible lines and one or more blades during various types of cutting operations (e.g., grass, weeds, branches, etc.). The system may be implemented on any appropriate cutting apparatus such as walk-behind trimmers and/or mowers, hand-held trimmers, and the like. Broadly, the system includes a cutting member having a body that is rotatable about a pivot axis of the cutting apparatus. One or more cutting blades are pivotally attached to the body such that the blades can oscillate or otherwise pivot relative to the body as the body rotates about the central axis. At least one of the blades includes one or more line holders thereon for receipt and attachment of one or more flexible cutting lines or strings.

The post hole digger has a boom and a yoke for pivotally connecting to the tractor or similar device, a driveline for transmitting rotational energy, and an auger for forming holes in a ground or floor surface. Rotating features of the post hole digger are isolated by various guard members, thereby enhancing the safety of the device.

Abstract: Embodiments herein provide systems, devices, and methods for splitting logs, wood, and other materials. A splitting device safety feature is disclosed, the safety feature comprising a safety locking mechanism that generally requires operation or activation by at least one hand of a user and an activation mechanism which generally requires activation or use with the other hand of a user. Both mechanisms are required to be activated, each by at least one hand of a user, in a simultaneous manner in order to activate at least some features. For example, a safety lock out mechanism is provided that prevents or blocks the activation of the device from initiating log splitting processes. Therefore, two distinct features requiring the use of at least one hand of a user are required to be activated or operated in order to perform log splitting functions.
