  • Patent number: 11725102
Abstract: Process of providing polyacrylamides to a site-of-use comprising at least the steps of mixing a polyacrylamide powder at a manufacturing site with an aqueous liquid, thereby obtaining a homogeneous aqueous polyacrylamide concentrate, transporting said concentrate in a transport unit from the manufacturing site to the site-of-use, and removing the homogeneous aqueous concentrate from the transport unit at the site-of-use. Process of treating subterranean, oil and/or gas bearing formations by injecting an aqueous treatment fluid into at least one wellbore, wherein the aqueous treatment fluid is manufactured by mixing at least an aqueous base fluid with said homogeneous aqueous polyacrylamide concentrate at the site-of-use.

  • Publication number: 20230174685
Abstract: Process for producing aqueous compositions of water-soluble polymers from aqueous polymer gels by comminuting and mixing the aqueous polymer gel with an aqueous liquid by means of a comminution unit comprising a flow-chamber, a sheet-like molding tool and rotating cutting means, wherein a stream of an aqueous liquid flows through the flow chamber, aqueous polymer gel is pressed through the sheet-like molding tool, cutting the thus formed gel strands into slices, dispersing them in the aqueous liquid and homogenizing the thus obtained mixture.

  • Publication number: 20230128528
Abstract: Process and a plant for making polyacrylamides by polymerizing an aqueous solution comprising at least acrylamide and acrylic acid or salts thereof in the presence of initiators for radical polymerization under adiabatic conditions, wherein acrylamide and acrylic acid are stored at the site of the plant as dilute aqueous solutions in pressure-resistant tanks and also the monomer mixing vessel and the polymerization vessel are pressure-resistant. The combination of using diluted monomer solutions and pressure-resistant tanks ensures that even in case of an unintended and uncontrolled polymerization, said vessels don't burst and there is no spill out of the plant to the environment.

  • Publication number: 20100297445
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing spherical particles of at least one material, which comprises the steps: (A) preparation of a solution or dispersion of the at least one material in at least one water-miscible solvent or dispersion medium, (B) conversion of the solution or dispersion obtained in step (A) into individual portions comprising an amount of the at least one material corresponding to the amount present in the spherical particles by underwater pelletization and (C) introduction of the portions obtained in step (B) into a medium which is miscible with the solvent or dispersion medium from step (A) and in which the material used in step (A) is insoluble so that the solvent or dispersion medium used in step (A) is replaced by the medium which is miscible with the solvent or dispersion medium from step (A) and the material solidifies to form the spherical particle.
