Abstract: A device for recovering powder in an installation for spraying pulverulent coating product. The device includes: at least one cyclone for separating the powder recovered in the installation and its conveying air, and a sieve associated with the or each cyclone. The device further includes a perforated plate disposed on the path of the recovered powder, between the cyclone and the sieve.

Abstract: This invention relates to a triboelectric projector of pulverulent coating product, comprising a channel for charging the coating product, a supply conduit connecting a source of coating product to said projector, a mixture of air and of coating product circulating in said conduit, an injector of air for dilution and/or acceleration of said mixture of air and coating product, characterized in that the outlet orifice of said injector is disposed on the path of said mixture of air and coating product in an inner chamber of the projector, downstream of the admission of said conduit in said projector and upstream of the inlet of the charging channel. The invention also relates to a process for controlling such a projector, consisting in measuring the charge obtained in the charging channel and in servo-controlling by this charge the instantaneous flowrate of air injected by the injector.

Abstract: An electrostatic sprayer device for spraying products in powder form comprises an air-powder mixture pipe with an ejector orifice at one end. It has a charging electrode adjacent this orifice and a counter-electrode coaxial with and to the rear of the charging electrode relative to the direction in which the mixture is ejected from the pipe. This counter-electrode is external to the pipe and substantially perpendicular to the axis of the pipe, with the result that an annular space is defined between the two electrodes and around the pipe. The electrodes have a potential difference applied between them to generate an electric field which attracts free ions towards the counter-electrode. A blower adjacent the counter-electrode discharges into the annular space formed between the two electrodes and around the pipe.
