  • Publication number: 20220197489
Abstract: An electronic functional module for control electronics of a centrifugal pump assembly has a functional unit that adds an additional function to the control electronics, and the control electronics has operating software with a graphical user interface for settings of the centrifugal pump assembly whose appearance is defined by image frame data. The functional module transmits values of attributes that describe properties of at least one variable of the functional unit to the control electronics, and the control electronics generates, as a function of the attribute values using the image frame data and according to a set of rules, screen views that are independent of the operating software and that supplement the user interface at least temporarily. These screen views, including a value of the variable integrated into one of the screen views, are shown on a display.

  • Publication number: 20220196020
Abstract: A plug-in electronic expansion module for pump electronics of a centrifugal pump for expanding the pump electronics with at least one additional function has a housing having a lower face and connecting formations thereon for attachment to a pump housing of the pump electronics. Electronics in the module housing provide the additional function. A base is provided on the lower face, and an electrical interface connected to the pump electronics includes a flat support projecting tongue-like from the base on the lower face of the module housing through an opening in the pump housing and carrying contact-forming electrical traces.

  • Patent number: 9235249
Abstract: There is disclosed a method and a device connected to a serial bus, said method comprising transmitting a message that indicates a power requirement for a suspended mode of said serial bus; in response to a received authorization message, setting a first or a second operating state; entering said suspended mode; drawing a current in accordance with said indicated power requirement that may exceed a predetermined current limit if said operating state is said first state, and drawing a current at or below said predetermined current limit if said operating state is said second state.

  • Patent number: 8484394
Abstract: In the case of a universal serial bus (USB) connection, a host detects a connection of a peripheral to the host via a USB interface of the host. The host then generates an informative command, which includes information on capabilities of the host. This informative command is provided for transmission via the USB interface to the peripheral. The peripheral receives the informative command and may for instance evaluate the included information for selecting a suitable USB mode that is to be entered or for deciding on becoming a host itself. Alternatively or in addition, the host may generate a request command for retrieving information on all classes offered in all USB modes of a peripheral.

  • Patent number: 7826539
Abstract: A receiver for receiving packet data from a transmitter, the transmitter and the method of controlling transmission. The receiver may comprise first detection means for detecting that its memory has enough space to store a data packet and flow control signal means for providing a flow control signal, preferably a first flow control signal, to the transmitter in response to said first detection means. The receiver may comprise second detection means for detecting when a first portion of a packet has been received from the transmitter and flow control signal means for providing a second flow control signal to the transmitter in response to said second detection means. The transmitter may comprise third detection means for detecting the second flow control signal sent by the receiver and packetwise transmission means arranged, responsive to the third detection means, to complete transmission of a partially transmitted packet and then to stop transmission of further packets.

  • Publication number: 20080228291
Abstract: Systems and methods applicable, for example, in energy saving functionality. A host device and a connected device might, for instance, exchange data within an instance of an activity period. The host device might, for example, send a request to the connected device. The host device and/or the connected device might, for instance, terminate and/or place hardware into one or more reduced energy consumption modes. Such termination might, for example, allow for data exchange during a subsequent activity period instance.
