  • Patent number: 8340157
Abstract: A method for wireless communication in a wireless communication system may include receiving signal contributions from within a predefined frequency range, categorizing the received signal contributions in a plurality of different frequency bands being sub-bands of the frequency range, comparing content in each of the plurality of sub-bands with a predetermined criteria, selecting a sub-set of the plurality of sub-bands corresponding to the criteria, determining a frequency hopping pattern based on the selected sub-set of sub-bands, generating a frequency key including information as to the selected sub-set of sub-bands and frequency hopping pattern, and broadcasting the frequency key to nodes of the wireless communication system. A wireless communication device for wireless communication in a wireless communication system may include an antenna, a receiver module connected to the antenna, a control unit connected to the receiver module, and a transmitter module connected to the control unit and antenna.
