In this way, the conventional need to overcome problems with welding a number of pre-formed 12 m or 24 m bi-metallic pipe stalks to form a 1 km bi-metallic pipe are avoided, thus also avoiding weaknesses that can be a part of conventional stalk-welding processes for forming an MLP.
