  • Patent number: 7650679
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for handling at least one part in a station for fixing two parts one on the other, characterized in that it comprises the following steps: positioning the parts in a station using a support (4); starting the fixing operation; replacing the support with a gripping robot (6) when the fixing operation has progressed sufficiently to lock the relative positioning of the two parts; mounting new parts in the support when the replacement has been made; and after the parts have been fixed, removing the thus fixed parts from the station using the gripping robot.

  • Patent number: 6845974
Abstract: A method of holding a part (5, 16) in position in an assembly station (1), in which the part (5) is put into a determined position in the frame of reference of the assembly station (1) by way of a handling robot (7), at least one clamp (2, 3, 4) is closed onto a portion (5a, 5b) secured to the part, the clamp being mounted to slide freely in a guide (12) of the assembly station (1) extending parallel to its own clamping direction, and the clamp is blocked against sliding when it is clamped onto the part.

  • Patent number: 5944166
Abstract: Pallet conveyor intersection apparatus having a central portion and plural conveyor portions connected to the central portion. Each of the conveyor portions has a pallet way along which pallets can be driven. The pallet ways of at least two of the conveyor portions are disposed at different levels, and the central portion is configured so that it can vertically displace a pallet, situated on the central portion, between levels corresponding to the different levels of the pallet ways of the conveyor portions. A pallet to be used in this system has a peripheral coupling which may be oriented facing at least one of the conveyor portions. The pallet's coupling can be engaged with or disengaged from a complementary coupling associated with the facing conveyor portion by vertically displacing the pallet.
