  • Publication number: 20080121379
Abstract: The present invention comprises an apparatus and method for evaporating a liquid to produce a product liquid and a vapor. Liquid is evaporated under the influence of a heat transfer medium in a heat exchanger comprised of a bank of tube plates formed from corrugated sheets. Vapor produced is separated from product liquid by a vapor collector which causes vapor to flow upward and into the collector from a downward-flowing product liquid and vapor stream. Backsplash entrainment into the vapor collector is prevented by an anti-backsplash device disposed between the vapor collector and a reservoir into which product liquid flows.

  • Patent number: 5084188
Abstract: A method and device for separating materials suspended or dissolved in a liquid. The device includes a cross-beam (1), supported by masts (2) in which are fixed spraying heads (3) supplied by by-pass lines (13) from a conduit (4), sucking from a vat (5) through a filter (6) and a motor pump (7) and discharging into the vat (5) through a powered valve (8). The method includes the fine spraying of the fluid in an air flow in order to obtain the fine spraying of the quasi-instantaneous vaporization of liquid elements causing the precipitation by gravity of solid elements resulting from crystallization of dissolved materials or from the separation of suspended materials.

  • Patent number: 5037029
Abstract: The centrifugal spraying device comprises a fan, a rotating spray unit and a cyclone air flow. It consists essentially of a hollow cylinder, the lower part of which is drilled with spray apertures and whose upper part is provided with flats with recesses against which are fixed blades comprising a cylindrical root extended by a threaded rod provided with a nut. The hollow cylinder is fed by injectors drilled with nozzles and is connected to the output shaft of the drive motor by means of a hollow shaft. The inner wall of the hollow cylinder is separated vertically by a collar located just above the first row of spray apertures. Main application: treatment of crops.

  • Patent number: 4793144
Abstract: The invention concerns an air conditioning installation with centrifugal sprayers (1). Said installation is essentially comprised of centrifugal sprayers (1) each provided with a deflector (2) and connected to a loop circuit (3) incorporating a buffer reservoir (4) which is supplied with liquid, a centrifugal purifier (5), a filter (6), a pump (7), individual flow regulating devices (8) and a collective flow regulating electro-valve (9), controlled by a regulation device (10) which is servo-controlled by a temperature sensor (11) and by a hygrometry sensor (12). The driving motors (13) for the sprayers (1) are power supplied through an adjustable frequency inverter (14).
