Abstract: Components of a kit for creating an artistic work on a lawn include: first and second containers of paint of first and second colors; a plurality of stakes for anchoring lawn stencils to a lawn; and two single sheets of a flexible plastic film in each of which is defined a pattern of openings used to apply a design element to the lawn. Each sheet is about five feet in height and about five feet in length and has a thickness of between about two millimeters and about six millimeters. The components come in a box having a width, length, and height each of which is no greater than about twelve inches, whereby the container has a relatively small form factor that readily accommodates point-of-sale display and purchase at retail stores by consumers.

  • Publication number: 20080042350
Abstract: A game includes a game board, a paper shredder; and a plurality of shreddable cards having various visually-identifiable indicia. The game board, the paper shredder and the shreddable cards are arranged in a box. A method of playing the game includes shredding a first of the plurality of cards; receiving, by a player, the shredded pieces of the first card; attempting to identify the visually-identifiable indicia depicted on a first side of the first card; and controlling game play, on the game board, based on the success of the step of attempting to identify the visually-identifiable indicia depicted on the first card.

  • Publication number: 20080043571
Abstract: A mixing tool includes: an elongate shaft having a longitudinal axis; and a mixing blade located at an end of the shaft, the mixing blade having a bottom, a top, two sides, and a mixing blade face disposed therebetween. Two flow ports each including an opening is disposed in the mixing blade face for flow therethrough of material being mixed by the mixing blade. Each flow port further includes a flow deflector for deflecting material flow through the opening toward the axis of the shaft. The deflected flows are convergent. The flow port is located closer to the bottom than to the top of the mixing blade. An end cap includes a gripping surface located in a radial direction further from the longitudinal axis than a gripping surface of the shaft. The center of gravity of the mixing blade lies approximately along the longitudinal axis of the shaft.

  • Publication number: 20080044558
Abstract: Creating an artistic work of art on a lawn includes: unfolding and stretching taut a stencil; driving stakes into the lawn, each stake extending through a corner of the stencil; spraying paint over openings in the stencil; removing the stencil while leaving stakes in place; unfolding and stretching taut a second stencil; anchoring the second stencil by extending corners of the second stencil over stakes driven in the ground; spraying paint over openings in the second stencil. An indication of orientation located on the second stencil is oriented in the same position as that of an indication of orientation of the first stencil. Each stencil includes a planar sheet of flexible film and a gate that extends across an opening of the respective stencil and maintains structural integrity of the stencil and distributes tension in the stencil when the stencil is stretched taut.

  • Publication number: 20080035644
Abstract: ABSTRACT A container includes a first bowl suspended by a dual-axis gimbal within—and out of contact with—a second bowl. The first bowl includes a first opening and the second bowl includes a second opening. The first opening overlies the second opening to permit access to an interior storage space of the first bowl from an exterior of the container when the first and second bowls are in respective upright orientations. The first bowl may be rotated 180 degrees in every rotational direction relative to the second bowl. A lid is removably attachable to the second bowl and that inhibits rotational movement of the first bowl. A handle circumferentially extends entirely around the second bowl and defines an opening for a finger or thumb for gripping and holding of the container when the lid is attached.

  • Publication number: 20070246915
Abstract: A stroller for transporting a child includes a wheeled frame including at least two base rails interconnected by a cylindrical hub, a spine, and a bracing linkage. A basket attaches to the spine, confining the child and supporting a seat ring. The seat ring includes upper and lower connected concentric arcs having different radii and supports a seat back on its lower arc. The seat back reclines, and the seat ring rotates from center. A seat base is supported on the frame and includes a platform movable between an extended position disposed inside the seat ring and a retracted position withdrawn from the seat ring. The stroller permits the child to be safely and comfortably transported in a standing, seated, or reclined position.

  • Publication number: 20070182153
Abstract: Securing an arrangement of loose elements on a scrapbooking page includes: positioning a scrapbooking page on top of a work surface; positioning loose elements of a scrapbooking page on top of the scrapbooking page; and magnetically securing the loose elements to the work surface with the scrapbooking page disposed therebetween such that the draft scrapbooking page may then be moved and stored with the work surface without disturbing the particular arrangement of the loose elements on the scrapbooking page. The work surface may include a generally rectangular shape and may be dimensioned such that it is slightly larger than a scrapbooking page. A loose element is secured to the work surface by a magnetic member that is positioned over the loose element. The particular arrangement of loose elements on the scrapbooking page are magnetically secured such that the particular arrangement is undisturbed by moving and storing of the work surface.
