  • Patent number: 7432465
Abstract: A switching device configurable as a grounding device, a disconnecting device, and a combined disconnecting/grounding device is disclosed. The switching device includes an encapsulating housing, a stationary grounding contact fixed to the housing, a stationary disconnector contact fixed to a first conductor, and a moveable contact that is movable along an axis and engagable with the grounding contact and the disconnector contact. A conductor tube is fixed to a second conductor and accommodates the moveable contact. A drive for driving the moveable contact has a retaining element that is movable along the axis and is guided in the conductor tube. The retaining element accommodates two contact tubes. A first contact tube forms a mating contact of a grounding device containing the stationary grounding contact. A second contact tube forms a mating contact of a disconnector containing the disconnector contact.

  • Patent number: 7262362
Abstract: The high-voltage switching device used in one installation position and has metallic encapsulation (10) a switching gap (4) and a particle trap (1) for holding foreign body particles (2), and is characterized in that in the one installation position, the particle trap (1) is arranged vertically underneath the switching gap (4), in the one installation position, an isolator part (8) is provided, which has a surface (8a) aligned essentially horizontally and faces the interior of the high-voltage switching device, with a metallic wall (9), which is higher than the particle trap (1; 1?), being arranged between the isolator part (8) and the particle trap (1; 1?). The particle trap (1) has a viewing window (3). If the high-voltage switching device is a disconnector, this viewing window (3) may be identical to the viewing window (3) for visual access to the visible disconnecting gap (4) of the disconnector.

  • Publication number: 20060283842
Abstract: The switching device contains an encapsulating housing (1) filled with insulating gas. A grounding contact (14) and a disconnector contact (15) are held in stationary fashion in the interior of the housing (1). In addition, a moveable contact element (9), which can be displaced along an axis (8) and can be brought into or out of engagement with at least one of the two contacts (14, 15), is arranged in the housing interior. A drive (13), which is guided through the wall of the housing (1) and can have force applied to it from the outside, acts on the moveable contact element (9). This drive (13) has a retaining element (12), which can be displaced along the axis (8) and is guided radially in the conductor tube (11). The moveable contact element (9) comprises at least one of two contact tubes (9?, 9?), which can preferably be detachably connected to the retaining element (12).

  • Patent number: 7122759
Abstract: A compact earthing switch (1?) is provided by a mounting lid (10) of the gas-insulated switchgear assembly (15) having a concave physical volume (100) which extends the gas chamber (9) and by the earthing switch fixed contact (12) being mounted on an inner side (10e) of the mounting lid (10) and being arranged at least partially in the physical volume (100) of the mounting lid (10). Exemplary embodiments relate, inter alia, to: an essentially cylindrical mounting lid (10; 10a 10e); an earthing switch fixed contact (12) having a physical length (L) which is smaller than an axial physical depth (T) of the physical volume (100); and a large diameter (D) of the mounting lid (10) for simplified mounting and maintenance of active parts 7a, 7b) in the switchgear assembly (15).

  • Publication number: 20050189326
Abstract: The invention relates to an earthing switch (1?), in particular for gas-insulated high-voltage switchgear assemblies (15). According to the invention, a compact earthing switch (1?) is provided by a mounting lid (10) of the gas-insulated switchgear assembly (15) having a concave physical volume (100) which extends the gas chamber (9) and by the earthing switch fixed contact (12) being mounted on an inner side (10e) of the mounting lid (10) and being arranged at least partially in the physical volume (100) of the mounting lid (10). • Patent number: 5981893
Abstract: This switching device has a contact arrangement which is equipped with erosion-resistant contacts and comprises at least one contact which moves along a central axis (2) and at least one mating contact which is provided for receiving the moving contact. One of the two contacts has a finger cage (25) which is provided with individual, sprung contact fingers (13) which are spaced apart from one another by radial slots (26) extended in the direction of the central axis (2). Means are provided which prevent the side edges (29) of the contact fingers (13) being able to touch in the region of the contact surfaces (27) in the front part of the contact fingers (13) when said contact fingers (13) are drawn together in the direction of the central axis (2) , such that welding of the edges (29) of the contact fingers (13) cannot occur.

  • Patent number: 5625179
Abstract: An isolator for a metal-encapsulated, gas-insulated high-voltage switching installation includes two contact supports and an enclosure. The enclosure has a longitudinal axis and is filled with insulating gas. The two contact supports are arranged in the enclosure. Each of the contact supports has a surface. A surface of a first one of the contact supports and a surface of the second one of the contact supports oppose each other to form opposing surfaces and define a separation that forms an isolating gap between the opposing surfaces. The isolator further includes a contact arrangement. The contact arrangement is movable along an operating axis between a connected state and a disconnected state. The contact arrangement electrically conductively shorts the separation when the contact arrangement is in the connected state.
