    Abstract: A control system is provided, which includes an optical sensor. The optical sensor is configured to: define at least one sensing region within a two-dimensional plane, detect an object intersecting the two-dimensional plane in the at least one sensing region and determine a location of the object within the at least one sensing region, and transmit an output signal upon detection of the object, wherein the output signal is based on the determined location of the object. The control system also includes a controller configured to receive the output signal from the optical sensor and to transmit a control signal based on the received output signal. A digital valve is configured to receive the control signal from the controller and to operate in response said received control signal.

    Abstract: The system provided herein may include an ablutionary fitting (e.g., sink, faucet, toilet) and a holographic user interface module. The module may be used to control operation of the ablutionary fitting. The module may include a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA), a display screen (e.g., a liquid crystal display (LCD), projection, dot matrix, light-emitting diode (LED), etc.) coupled to the PCBA, a holographic 3D plate, and an infrared touch bar. When light emits from the display screen, the light may be directed toward the holographic 3D plate, and the holographic 3D plate may transform the light into a screen image. The infrared touch bar may analyze activation of the screen image by a user and control the ablutionary fitting based on the activation of the screen image.

    Abstract: A fluid handling apparatus for an ablutionary device is provided. The fluid handling apparatus comprises a hot inlet and a cold inlet connectable to a hot water supply and cold water supply respectively. A mixer valve receives hot and cold water and output a blended stream of hot water, cold water or a mixture thereof. A controller controls the mixer valve according to a target output temperature set by a user. A temperature sensor generates a temperature signal indicative of the temperature of water received at the hot water inlet. A primary outlet is connectable to an outlet or outlets of the ablutionary device. A secondary outlet is provided for water redirection. One or more flow control valves are in fluid communication with the mixer valve, and control water flow between the mixer valve and the primary and secondary outlets.
