    Abstract: A filter cartridge for a beverage machine that includes a housing with an inlet and an outlet and with filter material located in the housing. Furthermore, an upper outlet opening for filtered water and a lower outlet opening for filtered water are both connected to the outlet. Advantageously, the upper outlet opening is located at an upper end of the channel, and the lower outlet opening is located in the channel between the upper outlet opening and the outlet. Preferably, the upper outlet opening is located at an upper end of the channel, and the lower outlet opening is located in the channel between the upper outlet opening and the outlet.
