  • Publication number: 20150213114
Abstract: Systems and methods for sorting a data set. A data storage is divided into a plurality of buckets that is each associated with a respective key value. A plurality of stripes is identified in each bucket. At least one data stripe set is defined that has one stripe within each respective bucket. An in-place partial bucket radix sort is performed on data items contained within one data stripe set with a first processor using an initial radix. Incorrectly sorted data items are then grouped in each bucket into a respective incorrect data item group within each bucket. A radix sort is then performed using the initial radix on the items within the respective incorrect data item group. A first level sorted output is produced.

  • Publication number: 20150115806
Abstract: Described herein is an autonomous distributed lighting network which comprises a plurality of luminaires for providing lighting levels in accordance with idle dimming profiles, at least one sensor for sensing ambient conditions, and a communications network. Luminaire nodes, sensor nodes, a timer node and a controller node are connectable to the communications network. Each luminaire node is associated with a luminaire and is operable for receiving broadcast messages from the communications network, the luminaire overriding its normal idle dimming profile in response to an appropriate broadcast message. Each sensor node is associated with at least one sensor device and transmits broadcast messages onto the communications network in accordance with events sensed by each related sensor device. A timer node, if present, provides time synchonisation for the luminaires within the network. In addition, a controller node is used for set up and maintenance of the network.

  • Publication number: 20150052298
Abstract: Access is obtained to a truth table having a plurality of rows, each including a plurality of input bits and a plurality of output bits. At least some rows include don't-care inputs. At least some of the rows are clustered into a plurality of multi-row clusters. At least some of the multi-row clusters are assigned to ternary content-addressable memory modules of a prefabricated programmable memory array. Instructions for interconnecting the ternary content-addressable memory modules with a plurality of input pins of the prefabricated programmable memory array and a plurality of output pins of the prefabricated programmable memory array are specified in a data structure, in order to implement the truth table.

  • Publication number: 20140210839
Abstract: Methods are provided for assessing potentially compromising situations of a utility company. One or more source displays of a site are accessed. A fly-out or data lensing is used to bring forward a portion of the source displays. The fly-out or data lensing is used to draw attention to a potentially compromising situation and direct the operator's attention without loosing perspective of a whole power system of the utility company.

  • Patent number: 8185881
Abstract: Pointer analysis is used for different applications, e.g., compilers, debugging tools and programs understanding tools, each having different requirements. A framework for pointer analysis is provided that defines a multidimensional space, for example a three-dimensional space, containing an order sensitivity dimension, a predicate sensitivity dimension and a value persistence dimension. A point in the three-dimensional space is identified. This point yields values for order sensitivity, predicate sensitivity and value persistence. Pointer analysis is then conducted on a computer program in accordance with the identified values for order sensitivity, predicate sensitivity and value persistence.
