  • Patent number: 11002421
Abstract: A headlamp having a plurality of light sources which emit light during the operation of the headlamp, a primary optical unit, which at least partially shapes the light emanating from the light sources, a secondary optical unit, which includes a first optically functional boundary surface having at least one first section and at least one second section. A first portion of the light emanating from the primary optical unit passing through the at least one first section, and a second portion passing through the at least one second section. The at least one first section having a positive refractive power at least with respect to a first direction and the second section having a lower refractive power than the first section or as a lens having a negative refractive power at least with respect to the first direction.

  • Patent number: 9537067
Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention relates to a radiation emitting device comprising: a radiation emitter for generating radiation; a waveguide; a lens placed between the radiation emitter and the waveguide and directing a first portion of the radiation towards the waveguide; a sleeve that comprises a reflective inner surface and is placed between the radiation emitter and the waveguide, said inner reflective surface coupling a second portion of the radiation into the waveguide; wherein the lens and the sleeve are separate components that can be positioned relative to each other during fabrication of the radiation emitting device.

  • Patent number: 9510744
Abstract: An endoscope comprises an elongated shaft, a headpiece at a proximal end of the shaft, the headpiece having a housing, at least one light source which is arranged in the shaft in a distal area thereof, and produces lost heat, and a passive cooling which has at least one heat pipe which is arranged in the shaft and is thermally coupled to the at least one light source in order to lead away the lost heat in the proximal direction. The at least one heat pipe extends into the headpiece, and a heat sink body is arranged in the headpiece, to which heat sink body the at least one heat pipe is thermally coupled, and which absorbs the lost heat from the at least one heat pipe and emits the lost heat to the environment directly or via the housing of the headpiece.
