  • Publication number: 20240127451
Abstract: Described herein are methods and computer systems for classification of CD8 T-cell topology using a patient response-based linear cutoff model. A plurality of histology images of tissue samples in a plurality of patients are received by a computer system. An image analysis of the plurality of histology images is performed to obtain a CD8+ T-cell abundance in the tumor parenchyma and stroma in each of the plurality of histology images. Real inflammation scores and tumor infiltration scores are determined based on a polar coordinate transformation of the CD8+ T-cell abundance in the tumor parenchyma and stroma. Based on the real inflammation scores and tumor infiltration scores, a feature space is generated, and linear boundaries or linear cutoffs between a plurality of classifications in the feature space are identified based on the real inflammation scores, the tumor infiltration scores, and patient response data.

  • Patent number: 5200958
Abstract: A method and apparatus provide for recovering from faults in an electronic reprographic system for scanning and synchronously or asynchronously processing and printing a plurality of jobs. The system is monitored for the occurrence of faults in a job, the faults are identified and recorded through a fault logging service and a specific response is initiated to the faults recorded by the fault logging service. Provision is made for using the log offline to determine the cause and effect of problems created by the faults in the system. The invention further provides for using the log online to monitor the occurrence of hardware faults in the system, and initiate the appropriate online diagnostic routine, whose response can further isolate a suspected problem.

  • Patent number: 5157666
Abstract: A method for testing and comparing the access times of disk drives in a real time system containing a multiplicity of likes drives. The method includes the steps of generating random locations for each of the drives to access, initializing each of the drives to a common position, determining the time period for each of the drives to find and read the random locations, comparing the differences in the time periods to a threshold value, and declaring a fault upon detecting any of the differences exceeding the said threshold.

  • Patent number: 4994869
Abstract: A transistor (42) is provided having a gate conductor (44) formed adjacent a semiconductor substrate (46) and separated therefrom by a gate insulator (48). Sidewall spacers (52, 54) are formed at the sides of gate conductor (44) and adjacent semiconductor substrate (46). Diffused regions (56, 58) are formed within semiconductor substrate (46) in order to provide source/drain regions for transistor (42). Positive charges from radiation are trapped within sidewall spacers (52, 54) thereby attracting negative charges from semiconductor substrate (46) such that a negative charge layer is created between diffused region (56) and gate edge (50a) and also between diffused region (58) and gate edge (50b).
