  • Publication number: 20230288280
Abstract: A pressure sensor assembly includes a sensor mounted in a sensor holder. The sensor holder is mounted to a lower end of a rod. The rod extends from a subterranean water supply to ambient. The lower end of the assembly forms a sliding seal with an upwardly opening cylindrical seat communicating with the subterranean water supply. An upper end of the pressure sensor assembly includes a cap locking the assembly to a protective pipe surrounding the rod.

  • Patent number: 10041232
Abstract: A water flushing and sampling device (1) comprising a valve (33) operable to flush water from a subterranean source through the device. A turbine (73) downstream of an outlet nozzle (37) is operable to generate electricity when water is flushed through the device. An enclosure (13) contains the valve, a temperature sensor (81) operable to sense temperature within the enclosure, a heater (77, 83) operably connected to the turbine and being operable to heat the enclosure, and a control system (91) operable to open the valve to cause the turbine to operate the heater when the temperature sensor indicates the approach of a dangerously low temperature.

  • Patent number: 9927277
Abstract: A water meter resetter incorporates as a principal component a plastic body having six fittings lying in a common plane. A primary inlet and primary outlet are coaxially aligned on first and second opposed walls. A secondary outlet and secondary inlet are coaxially aligned on the opposed walls. In use, a first horn is rotatably attached to the secondary outlet, and a second horn is rotatable attached to the secondary inlet. A water meter is attached between the horns. Because the horns are rotatable about a common axis at each of their ends, the meter can be offset from the supply pipes at continuously variable heights. In an embodiment, the secondary inlet and outlet are internal, and the horns are held in a fluid-tight slip joint formed by internal O-rings. The height of the meter may optionally be locked by the use of an angle holder.

  • Publication number: 20170336380
Abstract: A device for monitoring manual flushing of a hydrant includes an adapter attached to a flushing hose and attachable to an outlet of a water hydrant, an access port on the adapter, the access port being sized to take a sample of a stream of water flowing through the adapter, a flexible hose attached to the access port, an analyzer box containing a sensor adapted to sense a characteristic of water, the sensor being operatively connected to the flexible hose, and an alarm operatively attached to the sensor.
