  • Publication number: 20240363854
Abstract: Methods of preparing metal-sulfide particles, such as for use in lithium-ion capacitors may include preparing a precursor solution. The precursor solution may include a copper-containing precursor and a metal-containing precursor. The methods may include mixing the precursor solution with water to form an aqueous precursor solution. The methods may include adding a sulfur-containing precursor to the aqueous precursor solution to form a sulfur-containing aqueous precursor solution. The methods may include heating the sulfur-containing aqueous precursor solution. The methods may include recovering a precipitate from the sulfur-containing aqueous precursor solution. The precipitate may be or include metal-sulfide particles.

  • Patent number: 12089387
Abstract: A device and method for absorbing electromagnetic waves can include a honeycomb sheet formed by a plurality of interconnected hexagon cells arranged in rows. The hexagon cells are made up of sidewalls, each sidewall formed by two surfaces that converge at a top of the sidewall and diverge from the top to a bottom of the sidewall such that a thickness of the sidewalls increases from top to bottom and an angle forms between the two surfaces at the top of the sidewall. In an example, the angle is about 8 degrees. The honeycomb sheet can be coated with a magnetic, composite coating to increase electromagnetic shielding. An example coating includes magnetic multi-granular nanoclusters (MGNC) and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT). A base layer can be attached to the honeycomb sheet for mechanical stability and additional absorption. The device is suitable for radar absorbing materials (RAM) for aerospace and military applications.

  • Publication number: 20240282019
Abstract: In some aspects, the disclosure is directed to methods and systems for generating an augmented reality environment. An application executing on a computing device may receive a real-time video feed. The application may present the real-time video feed on a display of the computing device. The application may identify an image on a physical token from the real-time video feed. The application may select an animation from a set of one or more animations based on the identified image. The application may add the animation to the real-time video feed at an animation position above the physical token. The application may present the real-time video feed with the added animation.

  • Publication number: 20240184804
Abstract: In some aspects, the disclosure is directed to methods and systems for secure and authenticated tracking of entity possession via a lightweight centralized or distributed ledger. Ownership records of different entities may be recorded on an immutable ledger such that provenance of the entities is verifiable and a user cannot create or counterfeit an entity. In some implementations, the system may store metadata of entities in a separate database that may store records for each entity and correspond to the respective entity's virtual identifier, enabling the ledger records to contain much less data, saving memory resources and the energy that is required to maintain the ledger. In some implementations, distributed incremental values may be provided to members of an ownership or possession chain of an entity, which may encourage compliance, reporting of ownership transfer, and encourage additional transfers.
