  • Publication number: 20250092781
Abstract: A method of identifying sidetrack zones in an underground wellbore includes receiving hole-casing data, and determining one or more candidate sidetrack zones based on identifying cement overlap areas from the hole-casing data. The method further includes receiving completion data for one or more completion elements and determining a completion depth for each of the one or more completion elements based on the completion data. The method further includes selecting one or more sidetrack zones by filtering the one or more candidate sidetrack zones based on one or more of the completion depths.

  • Publication number: 20240232753
Abstract: A method includes receiving input data representing element-level parameters of a project, generating normalized data by normalizing the input data to a neutral reference plane, normalizing including normalizing the element-level parameters based on at least one of transport data, location data, installation data, or time data, adding the normalized data to a database of element-level parameter data, and adjusting one or more parameter curves using the database to which the normalized data was added.

  • Patent number: 9175547
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of performing production operations of an oilfield having at least one process facility and at least one wellsite operatively connected thereto, each at least one wellsite having a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation for extracting fluid from an underground reservoir therein. The method steps include receiving a number of steps each from at least one of a number of collaborators, specifying an automated workflow including the number of steps and for generating a first well plan, obtaining first data associated with the production operations, applying the automated workflow to the first data to generate the first well plan, adjusting the production operations based on the first well plan, and modifying at least one of the number of steps based on input from at least one of the number of collaborators to generate an updated automated workflow.

  • Patent number: 8670966
Abstract: Methods and systems for performing well network production optimizations are described. For example, in one embodiment, a method of allocating an applied resource throughout a well network includes receiving topological data into an analytical model of a well network having one or more wells. The topological data includes a plurality of performance curves that relate well performance to one or more levels of an applied resource. The method also includes determining an optimum allocation of the applied resource using the analytical model to maximize an operating parameter of the well network, including converting a portion the analytical model having one or more wells and a linear inequality relationship to a modified portion having a single variable and a linear equality constraint.
