  • Patent number: 4058074
Abstract: A twin fluke marine anchor chock for securing a marine anchor to the deck or hull of a vessel whenever the anchor is not in use. The anchor is removeably locked to the chock by the interaction of an anchor body (crown or stock) securing connector disposed at one end of the chock and a shank down-lock which secures the shank to the chock. The chock may include a shank actuated, resilient fluke locking means. An anchor may be quickly secured or released from the chock by manual rotation of the shank.

  • Patent number: 4048477
Abstract: A hand-held weight control calculator which allows an individual to quickly and accurately determine the daily maximum food calories allowed for either maintaining body weight or for losing a particular number of pounds as a function of individual weight and activity level. The calculator includes a first indicia bearing disc having a plurality of radially arranged columns displaying daily calorie values disposed on its surface, with each column having a peripheral heading designating an individual weight range value and a registration arrow. A second smaller diameter disc is affixed to the center of the larger disc so that they rotate relative to each other, with the smaller disc including an observation window which is selectively registrable with a particular radial column disposed on the larger disc.

  • Patent number: 4019455
Abstract: A shank-mounted reverse pull slide and slide stop to effect release of a fouled anchor. The device can be readily mounted on a substantially solid, conventional twin fluke anchor shank without altering the structural integrity of the shank. The slide housing has interior wall surfaces which are shaped to provide a shank contact portion and a plurality of passages between the shank surface and the slide housing walls to prevent sand and other marine grit from jamming or restricting movement of the slide along the shank in a marine environment. The slide stop is mounted within the conventional shank line receiving aperture or eye and includes a shear pin receiving channel. When utilized with a shear pin, the slide is locked near the shank free end and cannot move along the shank until the shear pin is severed. Without the shear pin, the slide is moveable between the slide stop and the shank end connected to the crown. The shear pin is easily installed or removed to accommodate either mode of operation.
