Publication number: 20250352747Abstract: An inhaler includes a main body having an inhalation chimney and a mouthpiece. The inhalation chimney includes a bottom surface. The inhaler includes a drawer for receiving a capsule. The drawer includes a top surface. The drawer opens out of and closes into the main body. The drawer moves into the main body from an open position to a closed position or out of the main body from the closed position to the open position, such that the movement of the drawer causes the inhalation chimney to move with respect to the mouthpiece. When the drawer is in the closed position, the top surface of the drawer and the bottom surface of the inhalation chimney are held together.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 16, 2024Publication date: November 20, 2025Inventors: Brian FOSTER, Dan DEATON, Daniel COONEY, James HANNON, Eric RICHARDSON, Paul HAYTON, Cal McLENNAN

Publication number: 20250352745Abstract: An inhaler includes a main body and a drawer to open out of and close into the main body between an open position and a closed position. The drawer includes a spin chamber having a primary recess to receive air to mix with contents of a capsule and a secondary recess to hold the capsule. When the drawer is in the open position, the secondary recess is exposed to receive a new capsule therein or to withdraw a used capsule therefrom. When the drawer is in the closed position, the capsule is enclosed within the inhaler. The inhaler includes a perforating means to perforate the capsule. The perforating means moves away from a resting position toward a perforating position as the drawer moves into the main body. When set at the perforating position, the perforating means is positioned within the secondary recess to perforate the capsule.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 16, 2024Publication date: November 20, 2025Inventors: Brian FOSTER, Dan DEATON, Daniel COONEY, James HANNON, Eric RICHARDSON, Paul HAYTON, Cal McLENNAN, Pete WILSON, Tom ETHERIDGE, David George ROBINSON

Publication number: 20250352743Abstract: A spin chamber for use in an inhaler includes a primary recess to receive air to mix with contents of a capsule. The primary recess has a curved wall. The spin chamber includes a secondary recess to hold a capsule. The secondary recess is located within a bottom surface of the primary recess. The spin chamber includes at least one curved inlet channel to allow air to travel therethrough. The curved inlet channel includes a tangential section and a funnel section. At least a portion of the tangential section is substantially tangential to the curved wall of the primary recess and is connected to an air inlet on an exterior surface of the spin chamber. The funnel section curves toward the primary recess and is connected to an entry point to allow air to enter therethrough into the primary recess.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 16, 2024Publication date: November 20, 2025Inventors: Brian FOSTER, Dan DEATON, Daniel COONEY, James HANNON, Eric RICHARDSON, Peter HARLEY, Ben WADE

Publication number: 20170301968Abstract: The patent application relates generally to a thermal isolation material, more particularly to a thermal isolation material having at least an intumescent layer and a refractory layer. The intumescent and refractory layers are generally stacked on top of one other. The patent application also generally relates to a method of making the thermal isolation material that includes the steps of providing a substrate having opposing first and second sides, applying an intumescent material to the substrate and applying a refractory material to the substrate to form a thermal isolation material, where the one following can be true: (i) the intumescent material is applied on the first side and wherein the refractory material is applied on the second side; (ii) the intumescent material is positioned between the substrate and the refractory material and (ii) the refractory material is positioned between the substrate and the intumescent material.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 29, 2017Publication date: October 19, 2017Applicant: ADA TECHNOLOGIES, INC.Inventors: Daniel Cooney, Stephen Cordova, Sayangdev Naha

Publication number: 20050269841Abstract: A wind deflector for use in a vehicle sunroof is formed of a resilient member that moves between a relaxed position and a compressed position. The resilient member is formed as one-piece of spring steel, and extends upwardly in front of an opening in a vehicle roof when in the relaxed position to deflect wind. As a vehicle sunroof panel moves to a closed position, the vehicle sunroof panel contacts and compresses the resilient member to a concealed position. The wind deflector thus provides a simplified construction when compared to the prior art.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 7, 2004Publication date: December 8, 2005Inventors: John Raasakka, Michael Aneiros, Daniel Cooney

Publication number: 20050164778Abstract: A game die for use in playing games wherein the die includes a die body with multiple sides and wherein an electronic timer and a timer-responsive visual signal generating device and/or audio signal generating device is/are located on the body. A motion sensing device is disposed on the body to activate the timer to start timing when the die is used in playing the game.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 20, 2005Publication date: July 28, 2005Inventor: Daniel Cooney

Patent number: 6824205Abstract: A movable panel assembly includes a panel movable between open and closed positions and also movable to a vented position. In the vented position a mesh member attached on one side to the panel and on another side to a guide or gutter structure extends to substantially cover the opening. The mesh member is flexible and collapses with the gutter guide assembly. The mesh member inhibits the intrusion of water into the passenger compartment and reduces wind noise.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 2002Date of Patent: November 30, 2004Assignee: ArivinMeritor Technology, LLCInventors: Daniel Cooney, Troy Allan, John E. Patent number: 6786537Abstract: A water management system of the present invention provides a sunroof drain member formed as a continuous piece. The drain member supports a sunroof guide track, and removes water from the guide track and sunroof area. The sunroof guide track is secured to the drain member by a plurality of interlocking features. By forming the interlocking features as integral parts of the guide track and drain member this prevents leakage in weakening in the areas where fastening devices would otherwise need to be attached.Type: GrantFiled: December 12, 2002Date of Patent: September 7, 2004Assignee: ArvinMeritor Technology, LLCInventors: Troy Allan, Steven J. Engelgau, Hyong Chol Park, Joachim Roeder, Daniel Cooney, Michael Cherry, John Long, Keith Roberts, Gregory Kerwin

Patent number: 6779837Abstract: A vehicle sunroof is provided with side shields formed of a mesh material. The side shields prevent inadvertent pinching of an occupant's hand by the mechanism for driving the sunroof panel to move, when the panel is in its vent position. The mesh material allows flow of air into the cab of the vehicle when the panel is in the vent position. The side shield is also formed to have a shape such that the rear end of the side shield extends for a greater length then does the forward end. In this way, the shape of the side shield better matches the pivoting movement of the panel, and there is less unnecessary material which must be accommodated when the sunroof is in its closed position. Also, the side shield has a better visual appearance then does the prior art side shield.Type: GrantFiled: October 3, 2003Date of Patent: August 24, 2004Assignee: ArvinMeritor Technology, LLCInventors: Daniel Cooney, Troy Allan, David Newkirk, James Nicholson, Jr.

Patent number: 6739648Abstract: A vehicle roof panel assembly comprises a vehicle roof panel and a track to receive the vehicle roof panel. The track has a track link and a track width. A guide is connected to the panel and slides on the track and has a portion that is selectively alterable between a first dimension and a second dimension less than the first dimension. A cable connected to the guide moves the vehicle panel along the track length and may actuate the guide portion between the first dimension and the second dimension. A drive unit is connected to the cable.Type: GrantFiled: February 20, 2003Date of Patent: May 25, 2004Assignee: ArvinMeritor Technology, LLCInventors: Bryan E.
