  • Patent number: 11924501
Abstract: Computing platforms and methods for dynamic presentation of graphical and video content are disclosed. Exemplary implementations may: provide, in a static browsing state, a static image associated with underlying video content; in response to an extended focus on the static image for a first threshold amount of time, expand a visual tile to a widescreen aspect ratio while remaining in the static browsing state; after a second threshold amount of time, initiate a dwell browsing state in which dwell tile content is provided in the expanded visual tile, while other content remains in the static browsing state; in response to a determination that the playback device supports a dwell video mode, play a video asset within the expanded visual tile; and in response to a determination that the playback device does not support the dwell video mode, provide an alternate non-video visual asset within the expanded visual tile.

  • Publication number: 20170283151
Abstract: A medication system includes a blister pack. The blister pack includes a sheet containing a plurality of blisters each respectively containing at least one medication. The blister pack further includes a backing positioned on the sheet and a substrate layer having electronic circuitry thereon, the circuitry including traces terminating at one end at positions corresponding to each of the blisters. The blister pack is connected to an edge connector disposed adjacent to an edge of the sheet, the traces terminating at an other end to the edge connector. The medication system also includes a hub in electronic communication with the blister pack. The traces positioned such that each time a blister is punctured, the breakage event is communicated to the hub and recorded.

  • Patent number: 9638178
Abstract: An ion electrospray device with a porous reservoir and at least one porous emitter includes a porous compliant interface sandwiched between the porous reservoir and the porous emitter for transferring fluid from the porous reservoir to the porous emitter. The interface has a characteristic capillary pressure stronger than the characteristic capillary pressure of the porous reservoir to fill the porous emitter with fluid via a fluid injection section of the interface and before the porous reservoir is then partially filled with fluid. Emitter leakage and propellant bridging problems are addressed.

  • Patent number: 8329794
Abstract: A polymer composition of a compatibilized silica in blends of acrylonitrile butadiene polymer and styrene butadiene polymer comprising six to ninety percent by weight of a compatibilized silica, at least one percent by weight of a coupling agent, at least one percent by weight of a styrene butadiene polymer, and at least one percent by weight of an acrylonitrile butadiene polymer is described herein. The polymer composition can have a minimum amount of at least ten percent by weight of 15:50 ratio, acrylonitrile to butadiene polymer, with the remainder being compatibilized silica.

  • Publication number: 20110166262
Abstract: A process for forming a compatibilized silica and nitrile polymer blend in latex form is described herein. The process can include treating a silica with a coupling agent in aqueous suspension to form a compatibilized silica slurry. The coupling agent can have the capacity of chemically reacting with the surface of the silica to bond the coupling agent thereto. The process can include blending at least a portion of the compatibilized silica slurry into a styrene butadiene polymer latex, forming a silica styrene butadiene polymer latex, and blending at least a portion of the compatibilized silica slurry into an acrylonitrile butadiene polymer latex, forming a silica acrylonitrile butadiene polymer latex. The process can include blending the silica styrene butadiene polymer latex with the silica acrylonitrile butadiene polymer latex, forming the compatibilized silica and nitrile polymer blend.
