Abstract: A junction box for a single-tube cable, and particularly an optical fiber cable for the connection of one or several wires or fibers of the cable to one or several wires or fibers of another cable. The box has a hollow support (3) suitable for a tensioned connected cable crossing (C) and a spacer (2) to hold the casing of the axially cut cable spread inside the hollow support (3) to free the cable wires or fibers (F). Application to the installation and maintenance of cable networks is also described.

Abstract: A device for connection between the ends of tubes (2) protecting one or more cables (9) and a box (4), has a flexible sheath (3) that makes it possible, at the exit from the tubes (2), to connect the cables (9) coming from the tubes (2) to the box in providing for the protection of the said cables (9) and enabling the moving away of the box (4) to be accessed.

Abstract: An access box for one or more optic fibers in a tensioned cable has a structural section that integrates the passing cable and has a central connection system area demarcated by two connection bases to which there are connected a plurality of cleaved optic fibers. The connection system area has a plurality of mini-cables providing for the shuffling of the cleaved optic fibers and/or a plurality of branching cables providing for the branch connection of the cleaved optic fibers. A box of this kind can be used for the shuffling and/or branch connection of a plurality of optic fibers on a tensioned cable, when the cable is being laid or subsequently.

Abstract: A device for degreasing pieces such as optical fibers of a stripped cable comprises a tank containing a liquid solvent in which the pieces are immersed, a pressurized gas container having a gas outlet nozzle, a receptacle for holding the container vertical with the nozzle at the bottom, and a diffuser for gas passing from the nozzle into the liquid solvent below the pieces. The gas diffused into the solvent is cold and causes turbulence of the solvent. The grease is detached from the pieces and falls into a cavity.
