  • Patent number: 10661769
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for automatically controlling brakes in a trailer vehicle having antilock control, wherein wheel rotational speeds are continuously monitored and evaluated at wheels having antilock control. According to the method, lateral acceleration and longitudinal acceleration of the trailer vehicle are determined. If a predefined, critical lateral acceleration is exceeded, an automatic braking process occurs. A control unit and trailer vehicle are also disclosed in connection with the inventive method.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 19, 2016
Date of Patent: May 26, 2020
    Assignee: WABCO GmbH
Inventors: Daniel Czaja, Hauke Diers, Axel Stender
  • Patent number: 10391986
Abstract: A method for operating an electronic brake system in a vehicle having at least two tires on an axle, wherein the vehicle has a center of gravity (SP) with a height (hSP), is disclosed. According to the method, the height (hSP) of the center of gravity (SP) is calculated and used as a parameter by the electronic brake system. An electronic control unit, an electronic brake system, and a vehicle including the same for carrying out the method are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9944260
Abstract: In a method for controlling an electronic braking system for vehicles, in particular for trailer vehicles, signals of wheel-speed sensors are processed. At least signals of one or more sensors that are not wheel-speed sensors are processed for a detection of motion and/or standstill.

  • Patent number: 9469303
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for determining the axle load of a vehicle (10) having at least two tires on an axle. During cornering, the axle load is determined from a difference between wheel speeds at a wheel on the inside of the bend and wheel speeds at a wheel on the outside of the bend and by taking into account the lateral acceleration and track width.
