Patent number: 7614828Abstract: A nonconductive bridge element is secured to a pair of end plates in a conduit retainer apparatus in a trench. The pair of end plates are secured to a trench wall by dowels extending through holes in the end plates and the bridge element is disposed in the trench on top of conduits. The end plates are two piece elements, a plate and an insert pin extending through the plate. The center bridge element comprises a nonconductive tube, the ends of which receive the insert pins.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 2006Date of Patent: November 10, 2009Inventor: Daniel D. Evans

Patent number: 7223052Abstract: Conduit retainer apparatus includes a central bridge element and a pair of end plates secured to the central bridge element. The conduit retainer apparatus is disposed in a trench on top of conduits. The end plates dig into the sides of the trench to prevent the conduits from rising or floating as the conduit is being encased in concrete. The end plates include barb elements to help lock the conduit apparatus to the sides of the trench. Different configurations of barb elements are illustrated, and also different embodiments of end plates and bridge elements.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2003Date of Patent: May 29, 2007Inventor: Daniel D. Patent number: 7031907Abstract: A voice recognition grammar (“VRG”) tool for facilitating the creation of speech grammars for speech recognition applications is described. The VRG tool 114 uses syntax diagrams to enable a developer to visually build vendor-independent speech recognition grammars. The grammars are built from visual components called blocks, which represent the elements of a grammar. Blocks are connected and assigned values to define a grammar. A grammar is built with the VRG tool within a “Construction Area” by selecting blocks from a “Tool Kit.” Every phrase must start with a start block and be completed with an end block, with the various grammar blocks being connected between them. Once the syntax for the grammar is constructed, using the aforementioned blocks labeled and defined appropriately, a grammar specific to the selected vendor may be generated and is then ready for use by a voice recognition application.Type: GrantFiled: October 15, 2001Date of Patent: April 18, 2006Assignee: Nortel Networks LimitedInventors: Christopher F. Patent number: 5078089Abstract: A spray coating booth for enclosing individual articles to be coated with a liquid spray while the articles are supported in closely spaced relation on an article conveyor for movement through the booth includes a rigid frame with fixed sidewalls and movable top and end walls which may be moved between a closed position completely enclosing an article supported on the conveyor and an open position to permit articles to be moved into and out of the booth. The movable top assures against coating liquid dripping onto and contaminating articles moving on the conveyor which are not to be coated. The end walls are supported for movement in substantially a transverse vertical plane to permit close spacing of articles on the conveyor without contact of the articles by the end walls.Type: GrantFiled: May 2, 1990Date of Patent: January 7, 1992Assignee: National Steel CorporationInventors: Raymond Dugan, Daniel D.
