  • Patent number: 6001531
Abstract: The present invention relates to a photographic processing composition comprising an aqueous alkaline medium including titanium dioxide particles and a stabilizing agent comprising a polymer polymerized from repeating units of styrene and an acrylic acid. The presence of the stabilizing agent substantially reduces the settling out of the titanium dioxide particles in the subject processing composition, and maintains the substantially uniform distribution of titanium dioxide particles therein. The subject processing compositions are useful in photographic diffusion transfer film units and processes.

  • Patent number: 5422233
Abstract: Photographic processing compositions comprising an aqueous alkaline medium and a hydrophobically modified thickening agent are disclosed. The subject thickening agent increases the viscosity of the processing composition while maintaining a relatively uniform homogenous mixture of the constituents thereof. The subject processing compositions are useful in photographic diffusion transfer film units and processes.
