  • Publication number: 20250191774
Abstract: A system and method for detecting prescription fraud in real time utilizes machine-learned models to analyze prescription histories and identify outlier behavior among clinicians. The system generates outlier scores representing the probability that a clinician's prescribing behavior deviates from norms. These scores can be used to evaluate prescription events, generating event scores that indicate the likelihood of illicit activity. The system employs a graph database to model relationships between clinicians, pharmacies, medications, and prescription events. Upon determining that an outlier or event score meets an alert threshold, the system can deny access to electronic prescription applications or alert pharmacies to potential fraud. Reinforcement learning is used to improve model accuracy, minimizing false positives while identifying complex fraud patterns.

  • Publication number: 20250083071
Abstract: A tank recirculation assembly comprising a recirculation line that draws fluid from the lower portion of a tank; and a pump that directs the recirculated fluid vertically toward and into the upper portion of the tank. The assembly comprises piping, pumping process and/or nozzles that spray the recirculated fluid across the surface oil inside of the tank. Recirculation is incorporated to enhance the recovery of more and cleaner oil by spraying as much of the surface area of the oil recovery zone to keep it clean. The then dispersed fluid travels down through the pad and reacts to help disperse and remove the interface that conglomerates in between the oil and water interface.

  • Publication number: 20240405546
Abstract: A method for automatically categorizing disturbances in an electrical system includes capturing at least one energy-related waveform using at least one intelligent electronic device in the electrical system, and processing electrical measurement data from, or derived from, the at least one energy-related waveform to identify disturbances in the electrical system. In response to identifying a disturbance in the electrical system, each sample of the at least one energy-related waveform associated with the identified disturbance is analyzed and categorized into one of a plurality of disturbance categories. The disturbance categories may include, for example, (a) voltage sags due to upline electrical system disturbances, (b) voltage sags due to downline electrical system faults, (c) voltage sags due to downline transformer and/or motor magnetization, and (d) voltage sags due to other downline disturbances.

  • Publication number: 20240395159
Abstract: A method includes: accessing language concepts representing a discussion between a pair of users; based on the language concepts, extracting a first insight; calculating a set of distances between the first insight and stored insights represented in nodes contained in a knowledge graph; identifying a second node, in the nodes, representing a second insight associated with a shortest distance, in the set of distances, to the first insight; characterizing a first specificity of the first insight; accessing a second specificity of the second insight; in response to the first specificity exceeding the second specificity, generating a proposed node populated with the first insight and descendent from the second node in the knowledge graph; prompting a user to confirm the proposed node; and, in response to receiving a confirmation of the proposed node, storing the proposed node as a first node in the knowledge graph.

  • Patent number: 10545094
Abstract: A system and method for the detection of one or more analytes in a collected sample employs capillary action in a sample card containing a sample substrate, at least one test capsule and an absorbent pad. The absorbent pad absorbs the contents of the test capsule and delivers the same to the sample substrate, with the contents of the test capsule chemically reacting with at least one detection reagent to establish an optical indicator for the analyte(s). The sample card can be automatically tested within a reader device, which records and processes an optical signal produced by the chemical reaction and outputs a test result. The collected sample can then be further analyzed using a second device. Additionally, an adhesive component can be provided so that a sample can be collected thereon. Furthermore, the at least one detection reagent can include a surfactant.

  • Patent number: 10167705
Abstract: There is provided a method of gas lift having the steps of positioning a valve seat downhole in a gas well experiencing hydrostatic loading, the valve seat having a gas flow channel, and providing a valve closure movable between a closed position engaged with the valve seat to close the gas flow channel and an open position spaced from the valve seat permitted a flow of gas through the gas flow channel, the closure being biased by magnetic attraction to a normally closed position magnetically engaged with the valve seat, such that gas is only able to flow through gas flow channel when gas pressure is sufficient to move the closure to the open position by overcoming the magnetic attraction which maintains the closure in the closed position.
