  • Patent number: 5209460
Abstract: The invention relates to a hydraulic antivibratory device comprising a rigid core, a rigid circular base and an annular supporting elastic wall sealingly connecting the core to the base, the inner space of the box so formed being filled with liquid L and the core being extended inside the box, by a rigid foot itself terminated by a piston whose contour defines, with the opposite wall portion a throttled annular passage for the liquid. The base is perforated by at least one port whose length is very much less than the mean diameter and the base, external to the box is capped by a flexible and sealed bellows adapted to form with it a pocket of variable volume.

  • Patent number: 5170997
Abstract: A resilient pressurized fluid articulation is disclosed which has variable stiffness, i.e. whose stiffness may be modified at will under the influence of an external agent. The articulation includes a resilient material block (5, 5a; 15, 15a) mounted between rigid bearing surfaces of a structure (7, 7a, 7b, 7c) which contains it. At least two of these surfaces of the block are movable with respect to each other in at least one direction, under the action of external forces acting in this direction. The resilient material block (5, 5a; 15, 15a) defines in the structure at least one chamber (3) adapted to be fed with pressurized fluid through a duct (2) opening to the outside. The block (3) also comprises at least one part (18, 18a) which is deformable under the effect of the pressure, deformation of the part then modifying the stiffness of the block in the direction.

  • Patent number: 5088702
Abstract: A hydraulic antivibratory sleeve is disclosed comprising two rigid tubular frames (1, 2), one surrounding the other, and joined together by an elastomer body (3) shaped so as to form therewith at least two diametrically opposite sealed pockets (A, B) communicating together through a narrow channel, the assembly of the pockets and said channel being filled with a damping liquid, the portion of the elastomer body which defines the first pocket (A) having in axial section the general form of a radially outwardly open U or V, the narrow channel being formed of at least two narrow channels (9) each extending, at least approximately and at least partially, along a transverse arc of a circle having as axis the axis of the external tubular frame (2), each arc being situated close to this frame and close to an axial end of said frame. The first pocket (A) is divided into two independent compartments (A.sub.1, A.sub.

  • Patent number: 5060917
Abstract: An improved hydraulic antivibratory device is disclosed intended to be inserted for damping and connection purposes between two rigid elements, comprising an annular frame (1) and a rigid hub (2), fixed respectively to the two rigid elements, a frustroconical elastomer spring (3) interposed between the frame and the hub, a flexible and sealed membrane (4) carried by the frame, a rigid intermediate wall (5) defining two chambers (A, B), a restricted passage (6) causing the two chambers to communicate permanently together and a liquid (L) contained in the two chambers and in the restricted passage. The hub comprises a shoe (11) which is too large to pass through a washer (8) of the frame and this shoe is connected to an annular zone of the intermediate dividing wall by a sealed bellows (12).

  • Patent number: 4771990
Abstract: The support sleeve comprises two rigid coaxial and concentric armatures of revolution joined to one another by a body of elastomer adhered to the latter and shaped so as to form at least two fluid-tight pockets. These pockets communicate with one another through a throttled passage and are filled with liquid as well as said passage. Bearing surfaces adapted to come into radial abutment against one another in the direction of hydraulic working of the sleeve during the exertion of strong radial forces between the two armatures in this direction, are provided respectively on these two armatures and are positioned axially outside the pockets.

  • Patent number: 4741519
Abstract: The invention relates to a damping and holding device having a rigid base (7), a rigid ring (9), a truncated cone shaped resilient wall (12) resisting axial compression and sealingly connecting the base to the ring, a flexible membrane (13) sealingly connected to the ring, a sealing dividing wall (14) connected to the ring between the truncated cone shaped wall and the membrane, a restricted passage (15) providing communication between the two sides of the dividing wall and a liquid mass (16) filling the case thus formed. The device further comprises a second truncated cone shaped resilient wall (17) resisting axial compression and oriented in a direction opposite that of the first one (12), the small bases of the two truncated cone shaped walls being juxtaposed axially and both secured to the base, and a rigid external framework (18) connecting the large base of the second rigid wall with the ring.
