  • Patent number: 11015425
Abstract: A method includes generating a torsional wave that propagates in a drill string having a drill bit coupled at a first end of the drill string and a top drive coupled at a second end of the drill string, and determining first and second components of the torsional wave. The first component propagates from the drill bit to the top drive and the second component propagates from the top drive to the drill bit. The method further includes calculating a first control signal to mitigate the first component, calculating a second control signal to regulate the second component, and generating a torque command based on the first and second control signals to control the top drive to dampen the torsional wave.

  • Patent number: 10662753
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for optimizing a drill path from the surface to a target area below the surface. A method for operating an automated drilling program may comprise drilling to a target location along a drill path, updating a drilling path model based at least on data obtained during the state of drilling to the target location, creating a modified drill path to the target location based on at least the drilling path model in real-time as the step of drilling to the target location along the drill path is being performed, and drilling to the target location along the modified drill path.

  • Patent number: 8851300
Abstract: A roll-out shelving storage rack system includes a frame coupled with a shelf member. The shelf member includes a base support, a shelf support tray, a shelf, and a driver. The base support mounts to the frame, and the shelf support tray engages the base support and is movable between a retracted position and an extended position. The shelf engages the shelf support tray and is movable between a retracted position and an extended position. The driver is coupled to the base support and the shelf. Activation of the driver moves the shelf from its retracted position to its extended position. Further, when the shelf reaches its fully extended position, the shelf support tray moves from its retracted position to its extended position. The extension of the shelf support tray substantially and completely extends the shelf outside of the frame.
