  • Patent number: 4387813
Abstract: A front and rear pair of crawler assemblies are provided for supporting the ring of a ring supported crane so the crane can travel under load. The front pair of crawler assemblies which form an independent transporter mechanism are selectively and reversely powered to facilitate forward and reverse as well as turning movement. The rear pair of crawler assemblies are disposed in idling arrangement.

  • Patent number: 4195740
Abstract: A lift crane in which the upper works is mounted on a platform that rides on a large diameter ring which is fixed to a generally square, planar and rigid frame. The frame is rigidly secured directly to the cross members which interconnect the crawlers of a crawler-transporter, with the securement being releasable by pin connections to permit the ring and its frame to be removed from the crawler-transporter and used as a fixed crane mounting pad.

  • Patent number: 4103783
Abstract: A crane assembly which, in heavy lifting configuration, has a platform with boom carrier and counterweight support rotatably mounted on a ring with the mounting including a king pin removably secured to the ring. The platform will easily accept a variety of hoisting machinery. Not only are the boom, mast and ring suitable for other crane configurations, but also the counterweight support and boom carrier are standard subcombinations held rigid with the platform through links defining triangular frames.

  • Patent number: 4042115
Abstract: A crane assembly which, in heavy lifting configuration, has a platform with boom carrier and counterweight support rotatably mounted on a ring with the mounting including a king pin removably secured to the ring. For portability, the king pin and sections of the ring are removed and a transporter run within the ring and beneath the platform. The platform will easily accept a variety of hoisting machinery. Not only are the boom, mast and ring suitable for other crane configurations, but also the counterweight support and boom carrier are standard subcombinations held rigid with the platform through links defining triangular frames.
