  • Patent number: 10487957
Abstract: A fluid valve use in a turbomachine in a high temperature location includes a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, a fluid circuit defined between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet, and a solenoid including a solenoid casing. The solenoid is disposed between the fluid inlet and fluid outlet. The solenoid is configured to move a valve member between a closed position, at least one partially open position (e.g., any number of suitable positions), and a fully open position to selectively meter fluid flow through the fluid circuit. The fluid valve can include a valve casing, wherein the solenoid and valve member are disposed in the valve casing.

  • Patent number: 10436448
Abstract: An injector includes a feed arm extending from an inlet fitting to a nozzle body opposite the inlet fitting. The nozzle body includes a spray outlet in fluid communication with the inlet fitting for issuing a spray of fluid supplied at the inlet fitting. The inlet fitting of the feed arm includes a receptacle therein for receiving a fluid supply manifold inside the inlet fitting of the feed arm.

  • Patent number: 8713944
Abstract: A fuel manifold for distributing fuel to a gas turbine engine includes a plurality of interconnected manifold segments. Each manifold segment extends between a pair of fuel injector inlet fittings. Each manifold segment includes a fuel liner defining an internal fuel passage therethrough fluidly connecting a pair of fuel injector inlet fittings. A wire braid layer surrounds the fuel liner, a fire sleeve surrounds the wire braid layer, and a flexible thermal shield surrounds the fire sleeve. An insulation space is defined between the fire sleeve and the thermal shield to thermally isolate the fire sleeve from conditions external to the thermal shield.

  • Patent number: 7356994
Abstract: A fuel injector for a gas turbine engine is disclosed wherein the engine has an engine case that includes a reception bore for accommodating the fuel injector, and wherein the fuel injector includes a fuel inlet fitting having an annular mounting flange defining opposed upper and lower end surfaces and a cylindrical body portion which depends axially from the lower end surface of the mounting flange, the inlet fitting having integrally formed alignment structure located beneath the lower end surface of the mounting flange for guiding the fuel injector into an installed position within the reception bore of the engine case.
