  • Publication number: 20240391620
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods to seal a container are provided. An apparatus for securing a film to a container includes a body portion to house film and a sealing portion. The sealing portion includes a sealing volume for receiving a portion of the container, at least one heating element positioned within the sealing volume, and a sensor configured to sense when the portion of the container is at least partially within the sealing volume. A controller is configured to receive a sensor input from a sensor indicating that the portion of the container is at least partially within the sealing volume, and activate the at least one heating element based on the sensor input.

  • Patent number: 12077337
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods to seal a container are provided. An apparatus for securing a film to a container includes a body portion to house film and a sealing portion. The sealing portion includes a loading zone to receive a portion of film from the body portion and an aperture to receive a top portion of the container and the portion of the film therethrough to enable positioning within a sealing volume. A plurality of near-infrared light emitting diodes (NIR LEDs) face toward and at least partially surround the top portion of the container when positioned within the sealing volume. A controller is configured to receive sensor input from a sensor indicating that the top portion of the container is within the sealing volume and cause, in response thereto, activation of the plurality of NIR LEDs to secure the portion of the film to the top portion of the container.

  • Patent number: 6141778
Abstract: A computer security system automatically updates an access status and a level of access privilege for each user based on outside feeds related to current status of the user with respect to an organization, such as a business or school and the membership of the user in a group or department within the organization. A unique user identifier is assigned to each user across all computing systems. The computing system retains the relationship between the user and the user identifier even after the user's access to the computing system is terminated. The user may be reassigned the same user identifier should the user again be granted access to the system resources. The computing security system may be implemented as an overlay to an existing resource allocation system, such as the RACF system commonly found on many mainframe computers and may allow decentralization of certain security functions.

  • Patent number: 4347156
Abstract: There is provided a system for reactivating wet, spent carbon including a drying device to heat the carbon to drive moisture from the carbon as steam. A multiple-hearth furnace receives the carbon from the drying device, and the carbon is baked and reactivated therein. Reactivation is accomplished in the presence of steam, at least part of which is the steam which had been driven from the wet, spent carbon.
