  • Patent number: 11986401
Abstract: An impactor system is for impacting a base of a shoulder implant into a humerus. The system may include a housing having distal stabilizer configured to contact a proximal resected surface of the humerus. The distal stabilizer may define an open space. An impaction member may be slidably received within the housing. The impaction member may have a proximal surface and a distal connection mechanism adapted to connect to the base of the shoulder implant. The impaction member may be movable from a first proximal position in which the base of the shoulder implant, when connected to the impaction member, is positioned within the open space defined by the distal stabilizer, to a second distal position in which the base of the shoulder implant, when connected to the impaction member, is positioned at least partially distal to the open space defined by the distal stabilizer.

  • Publication number: 20230285037
Abstract: A resection guide includes an anchor having bone anchoring features, a cutting block having a cutting guide defined therein, and a linkage flexibly connecting the cutting block to the anchor. The flexibility of the linkage provides the cutting block with six degrees of freedom of motion relative to the anchor.

  • Patent number: 11471290
Abstract: A base member of a prosthetic stemless shoulder implant may include a proximal collar, a central anchor, and at least one peripheral anchor. The proximal collar may have a proximal surface and a distal bone-engaging surface opposite the proximal surface. The central anchor may extend distally from the bone-engaging surface and define an opening extending from the bone-engaging surface into the central anchor for receiving a humeral head component of the prosthetic stemless shoulder implant. The at least one peripheral anchor may be positioned radially outwardly of the central anchor and extend distally from the bone-engaging surface. The peripheral anchor may be frangibly connected to the proximal collar.

  • Publication number: 20210346166
Abstract: A stemless prosthetic shoulder joint may include a prosthetic humeral head and a stemless base. The stemless base may include a collar and an anchor extending from the collar intended to anchor the base into the proximal humerus. The base may include a proximal collar having a proximal surface and a bone-engaging surface opposite the proximal surface. The collar may have a superior portion and an inferior portion, the superior portion defining an arc shape and the inferior portion defining a substantially triangular shape.
