  • Publication number: 20260023180
Abstract: An ultrasonic sensor unit for a vehicle. The ultrasonic sensor unit is configured to emit first, second, and third ultrasonic waves. The ultrasonic sensor unit is configured to receive and/or detect a movement path with the ultrasonic sensor unit. The ultrasonic sensor unit is configured to detect first, second, and third reflection, of the first, second, and third ultrasonic wave, of an object. The ultrasonic sensor unit is configured to ascertain a first intersection point between the first reflection and the second reflection, a second intersection point between the second reflection and the third reflection, and a first ellipse based on the first intersection point, the second intersection point and the movement path. The ultrasonic sensor unit is configured to determine a type of the object based on the first ellipse.

  • Publication number: 20260016583
Abstract: An ultrasonic sensor unit. The ultrasonic sensor unit includes a first ultrasonic element and a logic unit, wherein the first ultrasonic element is configured to emit and/or receive at least one ultrasonic wave, wherein the logic unit is configured to generate an echo signal and a trace signal based on the at least one emitted and/or received ultrasonic wave, wherein the logic unit is configured to predict at least one further ultrasonic wave and a further echo signal based on the echo signal and the trace signal using a Kalman filter, wherein the logic unit is configured to assign the further ultrasonic wave, the further echo signal and/or the further trace signal to the emitted ultrasonic wave, the echo signal and/or the trace signal by means of a Kuhn-Munkres algorithm.

  • Patent number: 6390366
Abstract: A currency exchange and merchandise sales system includes a point-of-sale (POS) computer for inventorying currency and merchandise and for recording transactions involving same. A cash/currency processing computer (CPC) is located remote from the POS computer and receives data therefrom and transfers data thereto. The system is adapted for conducting currency exchange and merchandise sales transactions among passengers on a vehicle, such as an airliner, particularly on international flights. A security drawer is removably mounted in an airliner service cart packed with merchandise. The security drawer receives currency used for foreign currency exchange (FX) and for merchandise sales transactions. A currency exchange and merchandise sales method includes the steps of inventorying the currency and merchandise and loading same in the security drawer and the service cart preflight. Currency exchange and merchandise sales transactions are conducted by the aircrew in-flight and recorded on the POS computer.
