  • Patent number: 11579804
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to optimizing device interrupt coalescing based upon host device behavior. The data storage device maintains three functional states: a training state, a holding state, and a retraining state. The data storage device switches between states based upon host device behavior as well as the behavior of the data storage device. Once the data storage device finds the optimum conditions for coalescing, the data storage device will periodically test the conditions to adapt to changing host device behavior as well as data storage device behavior. In so doing, the data storage device can dynamically adjust interrupt coalescing to ensure optimum operation of the storage device.

For example, a composite airfoil of a gas turbine engine comprises opposite pressure and suction sides extending radially along a span from a root to a tip, which define opposite radial extremities of the airfoil. The composite airfoil further comprises a body section and a tip section, which includes the tip, that each extend radially along the span. The composite airfoil is formed from a composite material comprising fibers disposed in a matrix material. The tip section has a tip fiber volume, and the body section has a body fiber volume that is greater than the tip fiber volume. Another composite airfoil comprises a tip cap applied over the tip that tapers from a first end to a second end such that each of the pressure and suction side walls of the tip cap narrows from a first thickness to a second thickness.

  • Publication number: 20220343922
Abstract: Techniques are described herein that are capable of selectively authenticating a user using voice recognition and random representations. A credential that is received from an entity is compared to a reference credential associated with a user. The random representations are caused to be displayed to the entity based at least in part on the credential corresponding to the reference credential. Each random representation has a random entropy. A representation of speech of the entity is analyzed to determine whether a voice characterized by the speech corresponds to a voice profile that characterizes a voice of the user and to determine whether the speech includes a verbal identification of each random representation. The user is selectively authenticated based at least in part on whether the voice corresponds to the voice profile and further based at least in part on whether the speech includes the verbal identification of each random representation.
