    Abstract: An electrical bushing that provides an alert to a system condition that includes a body and a thermochromic paint. The body has an internal surface that can receive an electrical device and an external surface. The thermochromic paint is applied to the external surface of the body. The thermochromic paint includes a first color at a first temperature and can change to a second color when the body reaches a second temperature. The second color provides a visual alert for a fault in the body.
