  • Publication number: 20150096367
Abstract: Systems and methods for measuring or determining the level or amount of multiple immiscible liquids of different densities in containers utilize multiple floats, with each float having a density less than the density of the liquid to be measured but greater than the density of the next less dense liquid (or fluid) in the container. In this fashion, the position of each float can be determined and used to determine the levels of the various liquids using a single three-terminal potentiometer. A method includes measuring first and second electrical signals corresponding to first and second locations of actuation of the potentiometer. A system includes a three terminal potentiometer capable of magnetic actuation at two locations, a first float configured to magnetically actuate the potentiometer at a first location, and a second float configured to magnetically actuate the potentiometer at a second location that differs from the first location.

  • Publication number: 20070256381
Abstract: A long life lath for a tile roof is provided. The lath is having water passage channels through opposing sides of the lath to allow water to drain from behind the lath by passing through the lath. The lath comprising a rigid structural expanded plastic material, the material selected to be impervious to rot in the presence of moisture. The channels through the lath permitting air to circulate up the roof between the rows of lath to further dry the roofing substrate materials.

  • Publication number: 20070248455
Abstract: A method facilitates assembling a diaphragm assembly for a steam turbine. The method includes forming at least one opening within a radially outer band and forming at least one opening within a radially inner band. The method further includes coupling at least one partition to at least one opening within the radially outer band including a radially inner surface and a radially outer surface wherein the at least one opening is at least partially defined by a wall that extends obliquely between the outer band radially inner surface and the outer band radially outer surface. The method additionally includes coupling the at least one partition to the at least one opening within the radially inner band wherein the at least one partition extends between the at least one radially outer band opening and the at least one radially inner band opening.
