Patent number: 12249096Abstract: An object identification method is disclosed. The method includes obtaining images of a target geographical area and telemetry information of an image-collection vehicle at a time of capture, analyzing each image to identify objects, and determining a position of the objects. The method further includes determining an image capture height, determining a position of the image using the capture height and the telemetry information, performing a transform on the image based on the capture height and the telemetry information, identifying the objects in the transformed image, determining first pixel locations of the objects within the transformed image, performing a reverse transform on the first pixel locations to determine second pixel locations in the image, and determining positions of the objects within the area based on the second pixel locations within the captured image and the determined image position.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 2021Date of Patent: March 11, 2025Assignee: TerraClear Inc.Inventors: Brent Ronald Frei, Dwight Galen McMaster, Michael Racine, Jacobus du Preez, William David Dimmit, Isabelle Butterfield, Clifford Holmgren, Dafydd Daniel Rhys-Jones, Thayne Kollmorgen, Vivek Ullal Nayak

Patent number: 12249097Abstract: An object-collection system is disclosed. The system including a vehicle connected to a bucket, a camera connected to the vehicle, and an object picking assembly configured to pick up objects off of ground. The system further includes a processor that obtains object information for identified objects, guides the object-collection system over a target geographical area toward the identified objects based on the object information, captures images of the ground relative to the object picker as the object-collection system is guided towards the identified objects, identifies a target object in the images, tracks movement of the target object across the images as the object-collection system is guided towards the identified objects, and employs the tracked movement of the target object to instruct the object picker to pick up the target object.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 2022Date of Patent: March 11, 2025Assignee: TerraClear Inc.Inventors: Brent Ronald Frei, Dwight Galen McMaster, Michael Racine, Jacobus du Preez, William David Dimmit, Isabelle Butterfield, Clifford Holmgren, Dafydd Daniel Rhys-Jones, Thayne Kollmorgen, Vivek Ullal Nayak

Patent number: 11148706Abstract: A steering shaft for a motor vehicle has an inner shaft, arranged in an outer shaft that is displaceable axially in the direction of an axis of rotation. The inner shaft includes axially running radial projections on its outer side. The outer shaft includes axially running grooves on its inner side, into which grooves the projections of the inner shaft engage in a positively locking manner in a direction of rotation and displaceably in an axial direction. With regard to fault-free operation during fluctuating temperatures, on the inner shaft, there is arranged a profiled sleeve with undulating cross-sectional profile, the inner surface of which lies against the flanks of the projections of the inner shaft and the outer surfaces of which lie against the flanks of the grooves of the outer shaft, wherein the profiled sleeve is connected to the inner shaft at one or more fastening points.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 2017Date of Patent: October 19, 2021Assignees: THYSSENKRUPP PRESTA AG, THYSSENKRUPP AGInventors: Marius Breuer, Janick Durot, Bernhard Jaeger, Daniel Frei, Jan Meyer

Patent number: 9194629Abstract: A condensation chamber cooling system of a condensation chamber for a boiling water reactor has a heat exchanger outside the condensation chamber. An elongate cooling module is provided in the condensation chamber with an evaporation space in its upper region. The cooling module is configured such that the evaporation space is located above a maximum filling level of the condensation chamber. The cooling module includes at least one riser pipe and one downpipe that issue with their upper ends into the evaporation space and with their lower ends in the condensation chamber. A first pressure line leads from the evaporation space to the heat exchanger and, from there, a second pressure line which issues in the condensation chamber below the minimum filling level. Thus, the condensation chamber, the pressure lines, the cooling module and the heat exchanger form a passive closed cooling circuit.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2012Date of Patent: November 24, 2015Assignee: WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC GERMANY GMBHInventors: Wolfgang Tietsch, Daniel Freis, Felix Sassen

Publication number: 20150235718Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a reactor pressure-relieving filter system having an interior space hermetically enclosed by a pressure-resistant reactor casing, at least one pressure-relieving opening through the reactor casing, and a dry filter for a gas mass flow emerging from the pressure-relieving opening when there is excess pressure in the interior space. The filtering efficiency can depend both on the average dwell time of the gas mass flow in the dry filter and on the temperature difference between the gas mass flow and the respective dew point. A flow channel connects the pressure-relieving opening and the dry filter. A passive orifice plate is provided upstream of the dry filter in the flow channel.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 16, 2014Publication date: August 20, 2015Applicant: Westinghouse Electric Germany GmbHInventors: Daniel FREIS, Ralf Obenland, Wolfgang Tietsch, Hans Martinsteg

Patent number: 9058906Abstract: A fuel element storage and cooling configuration includes a fuel element storage pool and a cooling system having at least one first heat exchanger disposed in the fuel element storage pool and at least one second heat exchanger disposed in a heat sink and located at a distance therefrom, above a highest point of the first heat exchanger. The two heat exchangers are connected, using a pipe system, to form a closed circuit, which is at least partially filled with a flowable coolant. If the temperature of the first heat exchanger is increased with respect to the second heat exchanger, natural circulation of the coolant, and thus heat transport from the fuel element storage pool to the heat sink, is ensured without a pump apparatus.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2011Date of Patent: June 16, 2015Assignee: Westinghouse Electric Germany GmbHInventors: Marcel Schmidt, Daniel Freis, Norbert Haspel
