The line section extends along a longitudinal axis and connects the first connection with the second connection and thereby a gas-permeable connection between the first connection and the second connection exists or can be established via an interior space. At least one sensing unit s set up to detect at least one physical quantity and to convert it into at least one measurement signal. An evaluation unit is connected to the sensing unit and the evaluation unit is set up to process and/or evaluate the measurement signal and to make it available as an output signal via the communication interface.

Abstract: An impeller pump for a dishwasher has a pump housing comprising a pump upper portion, pump lower portion and pump outer wall in which a pump chamber is arranged. It has a pump inlet into the pump housing and a pump outlet out of the pump housing and a heating device, which forms the pump outer wall, and a pump drive having a drive rotor, a drive stator having a stator winding and a bearing shaft. The bearing shaft is fixedly arranged on the pump housing and the drive rotor is fixedly connected to the drive rotor and they are rotatably arranged on the bearing shaft. The stator winding is arranged on a region of the pump lower portion which adjoins the pump chamber at the other side thereof in an outward radial direction so that between the pump chamber and stator winding only one wall of the pump lower portion extends so that the stator winding is surrounded by the pump chamber in an annular manner. It can thus be effectively cooled by water in the pump chamber.

Abstract: In a method for the production of a heating device, comprising a support that is curved along one direction and at least one flat thick film heating element disposed thereon, the support and/or the heating device itself are processed from a tube, in particular a circular-cylindrical tube. For that purpose a tube wall is severed in one direction which does not exclusively have a peripheral direction component so that the support is not a circumferential tube. The thick film heating element can be applied before or after the severing.

Abstract: A football throwing trainer has a football holder including first and second end caps adapted to fit over the ends of a football. Holder straps connect the first and second end caps and hold the end caps securely onto the ends of the football. A tether is attached to the first end cap and to a belt or cuff. The trainer allows a lone player to practice throwing a football and to easily retrieve the thrown football.

Abstract: A method of operating a communications system including a mobile phone and a media playback device is disclosed. When the mobile phone is uncoupled from the media playback device, voice telephony services are provided by the mobile phone using an onboard RF transceiver of the mobile phone. When the media playback device is uncoupled from mobile phone, media playback services are provided by the media playback device using an onboard CODEC and an onboard display screen of the media playback device. When the media playback device and the mobile phone are operatively coupled together to form a tandem device, video telephony services are provided by the tandem device using the RF transceiver of the mobile phone, the CODEC of the media playback device and the display screen of the media playback device. Methods of operating a GPS system including a screenless GPS device and a mobile phone are also disclosed herein.

Abstract: A mapping engine, capable of receiving descriptions of manageable software objects in a first language, for generating management information in a second language. The mapping engine is further capable of generating a set of mapping metadata, corresponding to the management information as generated. The mapping engine may be further responsive to user input. In another embodiment, a metadata compiler is provided, capable of receiving management information in a second language, and corresponding mapping metadata, for generating compiled metadata, applicable when using said management information in a first language. The metadata compiler may be used in connection with the above first aspect.

Abstract: A vehicle axle construction comprises a suspension for supporting the axle from first and second frame rail members. Elongated support members extend forwardly from respective locations along the frame rail members that are rearwardly of the axle and are clamped or otherwise coupled to the axle. A single pivot may be utilized to couple the respective rearmost end portions of the supports to the respective frame members. The forward ends of the supports may be coupled to respective air springs. Desirably, at least a portion of each air spring is positioned forwardly of the axle. In addition, at least one lateral stabilizer rigidifies the suspension. An alternative suspension utilizes leaf springs. A double acting rack-and-pinion steering mechanism may be rigidly coupled to the axle for use in steering the wheels of the vehicle.
