    Abstract: A stent retrieval device for insertion in an artery and capable of being guided along a radiopaque wire is described. The stent retrieval device includes a plurality of flexible individual fingers housed in a flexible tube with the fingers normally biased toward the interior surface of the tube so that when they are pushed out of the tube they will expand the artery and then grasp the stent to be removed.
