  • Publication number: 20240070520
Abstract: Aspects of the invention include systems and methods configured for federated automatic machine learning. A non-limiting example computer-implemented method includes defining a search process including a model configuration for building an automatic machine learning pipeline definition and distributing the search process across a plurality of parties. Each member of the plurality of parties retains federated data including training data and holdout data. The method includes receiving, from each member of the plurality of parties, an evaluation result of the model configuration against respective holdout data and aggregating the received evaluation results to define aggregated parameters. A new pipeline definition is generated from the aggregated parameters and trained local models received from each member of the plurality of parties are aggregated to define an aggregated model. Each trained local model includes the new pipeline definition.

  • Patent number: 5199216
Abstract: An operator for a French casement window having an operating arm with a roller mounted at its end and pivotable to move in an arc between extended and retracted positions, and a channel member horizontally mountable on the inner side of one sash and confining the roller as the operating arm is moved between its extended and retracted positions to move one between open and closed positions, respectively. A bracket is on the inner side of the other sash adjacent its outer vertical side, and a drag link is pivotally connected on one end to the bracket and on the other end to the operating arm to move the other sash between open and closed positions synchronously with the first sash when the operating arm is moved between its extended and retracted positions, respectively.

  • Patent number: 5152103
Abstract: A window operator and lock structure for controlling a window sash supported by a hinge for pivotal motion relative to a window frame, including a base mounted to the frame and supporting a drivable sun gear, and a planet gear engaging the sun gear and supported on the base for pivoting about the sun gear axis. One linkage is secured to the planet gear axis and the window sash to control motion of the sash. A locking structure secures the sash to the frame, which structure is operated by a gear arm fixedly secured to the planet gear and a cam link between the gear arm and the locking structure. Selective operation of the locking structure is effectuated by biasing the cam link against a fixed pin which engages a slot in the cam link to secure the cam link against operating the locking structure, and a trip on the sash which engages the cam link when the sash is closed against the frame to disengage the cam link from the pin.

  • Patent number: 5118145
Abstract: A universal lock for securing any of a variety of different design window sashes closed against any of a variety of different design window frames. The lock includes a pair of spaced keepers on the window sash, and a tie bar mounted to the window frame and having a pair of rollers thereon. The tie bar is reciprocable along its axis to selectively move the rollers into or out of engagement with the keepers of the closed window sash to selectively lock or release the sash from the frame. A base pivotally mounts a handle member to the window frame. A coupler link is pivotally secured at one end to the handle member and has a flange at the other end pivotally secured to the tie bar. The flange has a narrow portion with a first width adjacent the coupler link and a wide portion with a second width spaced from the coupler link.

  • Patent number: 5087087
Abstract: An improved structure is provided for a window sash lock having a catch mounted to a face of a window frame to grasp and release a keeper reciprocally mounted to a face of a window sash. A housing (12) is mounted against the frame face (13) that has an opening therethrough with a portion substantially cylindrical about an axis perpendicular to the frame face (13). An operator (52) for the catch (32) comprises a cylindrical pivotal portion (56) which is receivable within the housing cylindrical portion and is adapted to pivot about the axis. The operator also includes a handle portion (54) secured at one end to the operator pivotal portion (56). The operator further comprises an actuator portion having a button (60) at one end for engaging the catch to control movement thereof. The actuator portion is secured at the other end to the operator pivotal portion. A part of the actuator portion is trapped between the housing and the frame face to prevent removal of the operator from the mounted housing.

  • Patent number: 5054239
Abstract: A casement operator for a window has a deployment linkage connectable between the window frame and the base and operable to cause movement of the window sash. A gear drive drives the deployment linkage, which coacts with a sash lock and a lock linkage having a window-actuated trigger. A plurality of rigid links are in pivotal engagement with the deployment linkage and in driving engagement with the gear drive, and a tie rod is disposed intermediate the rigid links and the sash lock. A trip lever with a trigger extending beyond the window frame is pivotally secured to the base and engageable with the lock linkage for restricting the movement of said lock linkage during a non-locking mode of operation of the operator.

  • Patent number: 4937976
Abstract: A window operator and hinge structure for a casement window which can be simply factory pre-set for positioning of a window in either egress or wash modes, with switching between modes requiring no additional parts or special tools. The structure has a pivoted handle movable between a closed, inactive position flush with a sill cover and rotatable to an inclined, active position. The handle, in its pivoting movement, operates window locking structure and also controls the action of a brake, with release of the brake by raising of the handle to operative position. Motion-transmitting connections between the handle and linkage structure include the brake as well as the clutch, with the clutch effective to limit the torque that can be applied to the linkage. The handle can be moved to closed, inactive position with the window open so that no handle protrudes and this movement of the handle sets the brake so that a wind cannot move the window.

  • Patent number: 4894902
Abstract: A window operator has a base with an upstanding pivot pin having a bushing thereon and at least one component pivotally mounted on the bushing. The components are held in assembled relation by a captured washer and the washer has an outer annular portion formed to provide a controlled clearance. A method of forming the window operator comprises assembly of the pivot pin, bushing and pivotal component to a mounting base and the capturing of a washer beneath the head of the pivot pin and with an inner annular part of the washer engaging an upper edge of the bushing which extends beyond the upper surface of the pivotal component, followed by a deformation of the outer annular part of the washer to compress the pivotal component between the washer and the base followed by release of the compressive force to permit spring-back of the outer annular part of the washer to provide the controlled clearance.
