Publication number: 20220214331Abstract: An apparatus for detecting a spatial elongation of at least one adherent biological cell is provided. The apparatus contains at least one biological cell, which is adhered to a substrate, a laser for irradiating the at least one biological cell for a spatial elongation of the cell in a direction parallel to the irradiation direction and a detector for detecting the spatial elongation of the cell in the direction parallel to the radiation direction. Further, a corresponding method for spatial elongation of an adherent biological cell is provided and the uses of the apparatus and of the method proposed. Using the apparatus and method, it is possible to ascertain, from parts of adherent cells to entire groups of adherent cells, the mechanical properties in the natural, adherent state of the cell(s) in spatially selective, temporally selective and contactless fashion.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 20, 2019Publication date: July 7, 2022Applicant: UNIVERSITÄT ULMInventors: Tobias NECKERNUSS, Daniel GEIGER, Othmar MARTI

Patent number: 11156239Abstract: A hydraulic pressurizing medium supply assembly having a hydro machine for supplying pressurizing medium of at least one hydraulic consumer, includes a hydraulic control block for controlling the at least one consumer, a first control module, and a second control module. The control block, by way of the first control module, is able to be controlled by at least one actuating signal. A data interface is included between the control modules. The first control module, by way of the data interface, as a further actuating signal transfers to the second control module as input variable/variables a nominal outlet pressure for the hydro machine and/or a nominal delivery volume for the hydro machine. The second control module by way of the nominal outlet pressure and/or by way of the nominal delivery volume controls an adjusting mechanism of the hydro machine by way of a valve actuating signal.Type: GrantFiled: July 24, 2020Date of Patent: October 26, 2021Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Daniel Geiger, Florian Muehlbauer, Marcel Golde, Michael Brand, Minha An, Salih Tetik, Ximing Wang

Patent number: 6150941Abstract: A stand-off, non-invasive acoustic detector for monitoring physical activity and/or breathing activity of children and infants. According to a preferred embodiment, the present invention comprises a two-phase output oscillator coupled to an ultrasonic transmitter and microphone. A respective one of the outputs of the oscillator drives the ultrasonic transmitter, through a power amplifier, which sends out an ultrasound wave. The echo return is picked up by the microphone and thereafter band passed to isolate those frequencies falling within 33 to 40 kHz. Such signal is further adjusted for automatic gain control. The resultant echo return signal is compared to the respective other output of the oscillator, the latter also being adjusted for automatic gain control, which are then combined via a summing junction to produce a resultant signal, the latter being utilized to drive a phase comparator and an alarm timer.Type: GrantFiled: May 5, 1999Date of Patent: November 21, 2000Assignee: Integrated Medical System, Inc.Inventors: Paul Daniel Geiger, Lonnie H.
