  • Patent number: 11958871
Abstract: The present invention relates to novel compounds which are particularly useful as inhibitors of bacterial glutaminyl cyclases (bacQC); pharmaceutical compositions comprising such compounds; compounds and/or pharmaceutical compositions for use in methods for treatment, in particular for use in the treatment of periodontitis and related conditions; as well as to crystals comprising bacterial glutaminyl cyclases, methods for identifying candidate compounds which may associate with the binding pocket of a bacQC and/or are bacQC inhibitors.

  • Publication number: 20240021351
Abstract: Adjustment device, comprising: a base component (B1), an adjustment body (10), at least one flexure hinge (21), by means of which the adjustment body (10) is rotatably hinged on the base component (B1) about a flexure hinge rotation axis (D1), and at least one drive device (C), which is coupled to the base component (B1) and to an adjustment body connection device (AV), in order to move the same relative to each other, wherein the drive device (C) comprises an actor (60) which comprises an electrical coil (71) with a coil axis (AS) extending along the flexure hinge rotation axis (D1) and a compensation component (80) of a magnetizable or magnetized material and at least one permanent magnet segment (MS), which is disposed beside the actor (60) movably beside the same, wherein the magnet field lines in the interior of the permanent magnet segment (MS) extend along the coil axis (AS), and an adjustment system, an computer program product.

  • Publication number: 20230323915
Abstract: A magnetic bearing device and a positioning system which includes the magnetic bearing device are provided. The magnetic bearing device comprises a stator and a moving member which are formed from a coil device with at least one coil body, magnets, and/or flux guide members, where the moving member is movable relative to the stator along a direction of motion and the stator and the moving member are configured such that a magnetic force can be exerted upon the moving member when electrical energy is applied to the coil device to form an air gap between the stator and the moving member. The coil device is arranged exclusively in the stator and the extension of the moving member in the direction of motion is smaller than the extension of the stator in this direction. The extension of the stator corresponds to the length of the at least one coil body.

  • Publication number: 20120094856
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for detecting an analyte in a sample by multiplexing FRET (Förster Resonance Energy Transfer) analysis, the method comprising the following steps: providing a sample containing an energy transfer donor, several spectrally different quantum dot species, and an analyte, wherein the analyte is configured to mediate an energy transfer within a first energy transfer donor-acceptor pair provided by the energy transfer donor and a first quantum dot specie, the energy transfer donor is configured to act as energy transfer donor in the first energy transfer donor-acceptor pair, and the first quantum dot specie is configured to act as energy transfer acceptor in the first energy transfer donor-acceptor pair, irradiating excitation light from an excitation light source to the sample, in the first energy transfer donor-acceptor pair, transferring excitation energy from the energy transfer donor excited by the excitation light to the first quantum dot specie, the energy transfer being media
