  • Patent number: 7587930
Abstract: This invention relates to a device for measuring the position of a piston (2) in a cylinder (1), extending according to an axis, the device comprising at least two position sensors (3, 4) respectively comprising: a first sensor member (20, 40) integral with a supporting pallet (31) linked to the piston (2), a second sensor member (10, 30) integral with the cylinder (1), the first and second members of each sensor being arranged for being mobile in translation one relative to the other, along an axis parallel to the axis of the cylinder (1), the device being characterized in that the first sensor members (20, 40) are integral with the same supporting pallet (31) being linked to the piston (2) by a ball joint link (50). Using the device of this invention, a position sensor can be arranged in the cylinder, without having the transversal strains on the piston being transmitted to it, while the piston remains free in rotation about the axis of the cylindrical barrel.

  • Patent number: 6276126
Abstract: An axially symmetric turbojet-engine exhaust nozzle which is directable as a unit. The exhaust nozzle is situated downstream of an exhaust duct (1) fitted with a spherical wall (5). A single control ring (12) driven by linear actuators (30) allows regulation of the nozzle cross section and direction. Converging flaps (7) are guided on an upstream side by the spherical wall (5) and are supported at a downstream side by a control lever (13) which hinges on the control ring (12) and rests upstream on an external surface (16) of the spherical wall (5). Diverging flaps (10) hinge on the converging flaps (7) to form an inner ring of hot flaps. The diverging flaps (10) are situated downstream in an extension of the converging flaps (7) and further hinge on an outer ring of cold flaps (11), which in turn hinge on the control ring (12).

  • Patent number: 6092934
Abstract: Two objects are articulated together by a strong and compact joint which provides two rotational degrees of freedom about axes X and Y, and which comprises a bearing have a male inner ring swivel mounted in a female outer ring. The male inner ring is rotatably mounted on a shaft integral with one of the objects and defining the axis X, and the female outer ring is attached to the other object. The two rings are rotationally linked in the direction of an axis Z perpendicular to the X and Y axes by two flat support surfaces on the inner ring arranged between two flat guide surfaces in the outer ring, the said support surfaces and the said guide surfaces being parallel to the X and Z axes.
